Jayl, unlike the majority of his clanmates, actully spent a lot of quality time with his family, and decided to travel to satisfy own cravings. His family consisted of two fathers, and while he was close to both of them, he took after only one, Aithemis. Following his caretaker, he became familiar with the ins and outs of being a merchant, day after day learning how to find the best goods, to haggle, and to entice customers to buy what they probably don't even need. If only he spent more time with his second father, he'd be way more quiet and intelligent, probably paging through books and discussing theories, but shiny coins and unexpected bargains became his passion instead.
Sometimes Jayl ovesteps own boundaries in his chase after income - he may offer customers a markup without letting them know, of course - and if things don't go as he planned, this Fae would angrily swear under his breath or even become aggressive. Doing his job in such condition is quite risky, and if someday he crosses the line, he would be severely punished.
