Biography
One of the oldest dragons in the lair, Akhenaden is a massive Pearlcatcher of impressive dimensions. His grizzled mane is hidden by a hood which likewise obscures his face, though the tufts upon his ankles are still visible and the inner membrane of his wings are still this matching color.
Akhenaden serves as an occasional lair-sitter to the progenitors of his clan, and while he has no love for this duty, he also has no great distate for children; it's just a severe impatience for those who wish to touch his precious pearl. He is extremely protective of it, moreso than most of the other Pearlcatchers in the lair, and when Valentino was younger, even refused to watch him on account of the young dragon stealing the treasured object and playing with it.
Because he is larger than a number of his other lairmates (the Imperials and Guardians clearly aside), Akhenaden tends to try and keep his temper. However, when he loses it he does remove himself from the situation. And...while he is not necessarily a bad dragon, he is overly prideful, and a bit of a diva. Thus he does get into arguments rather a lot.
Due to his dabbling in the magical arts, Akhenaden has become more withdrawn, and there is a profound effect on his pearl; The shining orb has now taken a deep pink color, and the pure magical energy exuding from it drags in a comet-like tail. Except for Dexithea, his mate, few dragons will find it easy to talk to the old Pearlcatcher anymore. His mind is lost among the ambitious goal of having a proper son whose colors he can be proud of. Clearly...he is still sore at the decision to allow Highblood to leave the lair, and seeks a replacement. Few will pass muster in his eyes. Their colors must be royal.
