Dexithea

Dexithea is the long-standing mate of Akhenaden, and for a long time, resided in a different lair. However, the distance proved to be slightly more than she cared for, and absence does indeed cause the heart to grow fonder.

Despite her heritage as a Pearlcatcher, Dex is far-less intense than Akhenaden and enjoys the company of the young dragons born into the lair, before they are trained to serve under the Arcanist or sent to a more appropriate home.; she does still protect her pearl, but at the same time does not fear that the children will harm it in any way.

Though she does remain devoted to Akhenaden, Dexithea understands his moods--perhaps better than any other dragon--and realizes that ever since the loss of their son Highblood, he has grown almost obsessed with the idea of procuring an heir which he finds suitable. So far, their children have not impressed him, and while she is more than happy to assist them in their endeavours and eventually bid them an affectionate and loving farewell...she does so wish that she could provide that one thing Akhenaden wants;

A son worth keeping.

Dexithea is not vain, but she does seek to, in the future, decorate her wings with beautiful patterns that would bring her pride as a female, as a Pearlcatcher, and of course, please her mate. Mostly though, she'd just love to show off some gaudy wings to be proud of.
