Hatched to his Fireborn parents while within the Plague Flight's territory, Kin rejected that part of himself entirely. Refusing to use his Inborn element at all, Kin chose to only stay within the Ashfall Wastes and train himself to only use fire magic. Soon, his abilities to even feel his plague magic were weakened harshly, but his fire was as strong as any dragon with the inborn element of fire. He could have stopped after that, but even then he trained harder to harness the fire he was building up inside of himself, and as a teenager he had more control and stronger flames than the average Fire Flight civilian. Soon, Jarl Darthan took notice of him, and sent him to train with the Guards.
