_{Jinova, Mistress of Exaltation, has a dark reputation among the clan. She has been tasked with the responsibility of deciding who stays, who is sold, and who becomes exalted. She is typically written off as insane due to her Plague origin. Expecting parents are especially uneasy around her. While the clan's relocation from Plague to Light territory has seen less tyranny from Jinova's decrees, she is still feared and respected.

When she isn't sorting kin, Jinova can be found in her quarters often times mixing a manner of things in cauldrons and vials. She dabbles in alchemy but excels in poison craft. Prior to her clan's migration to Light lands, Jinova exalted her own son for the glory of her Plaguemother. Reaper's exaltation was the single most difficult event Jinova had been through. She grew even more reclusive afterwards, as Skjor can attest. She says that she has a mental connected to the will of the Plaguemother which is how she is able to decide who is exalted and who is not. If the mother will it, it will be done. Needless to say her connection has dimmed since the move. She now makes exaltation decisions alongside the grand council.}
