Biography

plaguev4.png V E X
Grand Matriarch, Priestess of Plague

Ruthless | Cunning | Powerful

Vex & Kero, Clan Divinity’s progenitors, were born near the Wandering Contagion where they honed their abilities in combat. Each grew to become ruthlessly cunning and physically adept. Dragons had to be if they were to survive the Scarred Wasteland. The festering lands around them taught them the value of adaptability and resilience. These traits they imbued into their offspring and so on until Clan Divinity became one of the most prominent clans in all of the Scarred Wasteland.

One by one, foes and challengers alike fell to Vex and Kero. It was not long before foes were fended off and challengers stopped coming. Not ones to be idle, Vex and Kero sought new lands to sharpen their skills and new challengers to hone their talons with.

Word of a great enemy from the Sunbeam Ruins reached Vex. Her blood ran hot with the thought of a real challenge. It did not take much convincing to sway Kero. Before the season’s end, Clan Divinity was headed towards the Hewn City. An entire Plague Clan can only move so far without being seen and they drew the attention of the Light region’s denizens. Whispers spread through villages, some of hope, but most of paranoia. “They’re here to test their new contagions on us!” a resident Pearlcatcher bellowed. “They’re spreading plague filth!” others exclaimed.

Before long, residents of Lanternlea Port sought an audience with Vex and her descendants. Scared, concerned, and possibly a little angry, a group of thirty or so dragons closed in on the last known location of Clan Divinity. Instead of stumbling upon a new festering wound or cauldrons of contagion, the group witnessed Clan Divinity’s direct assault of Luminax, a fusion of desiccated Imperial corpses.

Though the clan’s numbers were many and their power great, they were struggling against the unholy beast. Kero was critically wounded, and several others injured. Vex prepared to absorb a killing blow in order for her children to flee with their wounded. Eyes open, mouths agape and her heads screaming in unison as her final act of defiance, Vex stood ready to die.

Imperial dragons Cinder and Atlas acted immediately. Cinder deflected the Emperor’s killing blow to Vex and plucked her up and away. Atlas lifted Kero to safety. Other Lanternlea citizens followed suit and aided in the retreat. Irirangi engaged the Emperor and led it away before disappearing over the horizon.

The entire clan found themselves under the care of the citizens of Lanternlea Port. The crisp ocean breeze and striking marble architecture was unlike anything the Plague residents had seen before. The concept of buildings and homes were also foreign. Those injured were being rejuvenated with magic and medicine as opposed to membranes and mucous. Hospitality and gratitude were foreign to these dragons who knew only of survival and tenacity.

Equipped now with the knowledge of lives greater than merely surviving, Clan Divinity sought to thrive. Origins of Plague are not easily left behind, however. Vex vowed to see the demise of Luminax, but no longer for the sake of dominance alone. She would fight for retribution for her injured and for her newfound friends in Lanternlea. She sought to end the suffering of those the Emperor had decimated and terminate it as a looming threat to all of Sornieth.

Dragons from all over sought to join Clan Divinity in their pursuit to eradiate the Emperor. Now, a wide range of dragons call Lanternlea home as a joint effort to undo the curse of Luminax and prevent any more Emperors from rising from their graves.
