Background:

Lord Tobias

A son of the Empress and the Emperor.

His claws flipped through the pages of a leather-bound tome. His family had great influence. He knew for a fact it had influence in Light, Fire, Plague, and perhaps beyond. He supposed they grew too powerful for Prince Equinox. That they were too helpful. They must continue elsewhere. After all, their children were expected to do the same.

Except Tobias. He had no clue why he was allowed to stay. He hardly thought he was competent. He had skills, but easily replaceable, especially if Prince Equinox wanted him gone. The prince would not explain to him. He wasn't quite sure if he even wanted to know.

"Mwah!! Mwah!!" a light Skydancer behind him said as he cuddled up next to Tobias. Tobias pushed the tome away so it wouldn't get damaged in this, display of affection.

"My love!" Certhiaxis said.

Tobias blushed. "What is it, my love?"

"I wanted to say hello!" He dramatically draped himself on Tobias. Tobias welcomed the affection, but still tried to hide his stupid silly smile.

Tobias gave a gentle smile and said," While you're here, I have some papers that need to be sent off." His free claw gestured to a small parcel of envelopes.

"Mm, I'll take care of it after." As much as Tobias disagreed with Certhiaxis' tendency to make everything a public display of affection, he had to admit, it felt kind of nice. And by the deities, did he love his husband.
