Thank you for putting up with me while I try to break the habit." ╰━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╯ In case the name didn't make it clear: he was nothing but an inconvenience to the ones who raised him. Between the ill omen of his coloration and his sickly constitution making him unable to do much work in a clan already stretched thin, he was also the result of an affair that split their numbers even further and they were quick to remind him at every opportunity that he's lucky they didn't drown him as a hatchling. Unsurprisingly he was a very depressive youth, but you can only be everyone else's punching bag for so long before you are just absolutely seething with rage. He can't exactly go on the violent rampage he daydreams about constantly; he has to be clever. Burden decides to run away, and starts smuggling out supplies and what little the clan had in the way of valuables. It's not difficult to skirt blame when you take advantage of your image as a useless weakling, and it's practically effortless when the ones you're trying to fool are prone to infighting regardless. He stays long enough to sate his bloodlust on the chaos he has reigned, then vanishes into the night with all the treasure his frail frame can carry. The rest he dumps down a nearby ravine before convincing a travelling caravan of Snappers to let him ride along. He ends up staying in fire territory because the heat does wonders for his horrible joints, and because his claws aren't constantly agonized anymore he can actually manage to do office jobs pretty reliably, so most of the spa/clan upkeep paperwork ends up with him. Burden is still an angry fellow, though he's more prone to sarcastic responses than systematically destroying clans from the inside nowadays. Doesn't hate himself so much anymore, knows being 'useless' was not a valid reason for the abuse he suffered but still feels pretty good about being a productive member of his new clan.

Alpha: Burden likes how aggressive cerdae are, and likes to live vicariously through his little bodyguard(once he's gone through the painful process of bonding with it enough to earn its affection). Alpha is still pretty aggro with anyone who tries to touch him. Or anything that is vaguely Cerdae-shaped. He seems to view Rhys as a rival for territory & attacks him on sight. | xxxxx |
