Akira is a young adult training under Harrow. He aspires to one day wield the same power as his mentor, although it is an unrealistic dream. There is no forwarning or clue to how a Revenant's power will manifest, until it already has. Still, Akira admires Harrow greatly, and has much training to go before he can be promoted to Revenant.

Of course, there is no actual system in place to be promoted as a Revenant.

The spirit Unsol simply chooses its own guard arbitrarily, with no outward, understandable discernment for qualification. Akira disregards this critical fact however, waving it off as a minute obstacle to be figured out later.

His determination is one of youthful bullheaded-ery.

If he trains hard enough, if he contributes enough public service, if he just proves himself-- he is one-hundred percent certain Unsol has to acknowledge him.

The spirit herself is, to put it lightly, a tad bit disturbed by him.

Unsol rarely is personally acknowledged in the way Akira personifies her. She usually isn't even a 'she'-- by all others, she is regarded as an amorphous, engulfing entity surrounding the city. An 'it', a primordial power, a mighty being, an aura of strange emotion, and most certainly not a uniformly-identifiable, cohesive 'person' that one can just visit underground like an old friend and leave various arrays of 'bribes' in the form of fruit-baskets and gifts--

Akira is usually bulldozed out of the catacombs by Fenhyste, a light-hearted laugh singing in his throat-- despite the disgruntled sentinel tossing him about.

"Let me know what she thinks of the blackberry jam!"
"She'll crawl out that puddle eventually!"
"Tell Unsol I'll be out training tomorrow, she should come watch!"

And so on.

Akira never manages to get an actual word out of the hellweeper, but he doesn't take it as a sign of defeat-- which isn't an entirely bad thing. Even if the monstrous sentinel could speak their language, he would never willingly give him insight. He would definitely never mention those shadowy claws, or the glowing sliver of eyes that peek out of the Well of Inversion-- filled, begrudgingly, with curiosity. He would never tell Akira how he watches the spirit pull the cakes and pastries through the portal, to which he knows leads to the Netherworld itself.

It's too undignified an image to convey of his master.
