Imitator, but I haven't decided who/what this Nocturne might imitate. Storms? Announcements? The passengers? Certainly could be a herald, relying information across the clan by faithfully copying what has been said. Suspiciously good at forgeries.
- Helps Arinia and is in charge of maintaining the clan's loudspeaker system.
- Nervous about speaking.
- Imitates everyone in the clan at turn, especially Arinia.
- Multi-talented, or a jack-of-all-trades, depending on who one asks.
- Fond of Mason.
- When under constant stress, within a month X will begin to make preparations to go into hibernation. When this is noticed by other members of the clan, especially Arinia and Mason, they typically try to help her. This behaviour of X's will frequently serve as a wake-up call to the clan if the whole community is actively causing or neglecting solving a major problem.
- Often on guard to ensure that Airini doesn't fall asleep during a whirlwind spate of cooking. Spirals are strange.
- Few actually know where X rests. There is a false ceiling in one of the carriages that X has constructed. It is not incredibly spacious- while there is plenty of floor space, X cannot sit upright without the wall hitting her head. But the hidden lair is far from claustrophobic, boasting as it does a magnificent skylight, concealed by two sheets of steel (one within and one outside) that X, the quintessential Lightening dragon, has wired to fold away at the press of a button. After this, the entire sky seems to become her ceiling, and indeed anyone inside can simply unpick the latch and climb out of the window. Most of the time, though, X is delighted to simply lie back and watch the chaotic or cloudless nights, entranced for hours by storms and stars as the freight train passes far, far, far below.
