Polina

"I'm not a child!"



Polina is a member of a lightning clan. She's very small and often mistaken for a child which angers her. Her anger is often used as a way to strengthen the lighting she uses to fight, so the enemy is just putting themself at risk by taunting her.

Polina is a character in a series I'm creating where every single character is based on a gemstone, even down to appearance, personality, name, and other traits. However, that connection to crystals is not acknowledged in the series itself. Polina is based on a crystal known as jeremejevite.

Each character will have a trailer with a quote at the start (I've come to realise a lot of my series ideas have elements inspired by RWBY), and the second part of the quote hidden at the end which can only bee seen by brightening the image. The quote at the top of Polina's bio is the first and second part of her trailer quote. The second quote in her bio is probably the thing she says most often.

Polina's name is a Russian name meaning "tiny, petite", and her surname Siniy is a Russian word for blue. The reason for using Russian names is based on where jeremejevite was first discovered.

Polina has a connection to lightning based on jeremejevite being piezoelectric and her short height is linked to the tiny size jeremejevite usually is.



I chose lightning as her element due to the piezoelectric properties of jeremejevite, as previously mentioned. I decided on primal eyes to make the connection to lightning even stronger, especially since the lightning is blue to match Polina.

Polina has a blue colour scheme to match her gemstone, and I gave her the circuit gene to further link her to electricity.
