Stories collected so far (by Panto)
There's an intense sense of unease looming above the dragons in the clan. Everyone seems suspicious of everyone else, including Hatchlings. Restless and Wobley mostly. There are times when Restless strays from his siblings, Dream and Daydream, and begins speaking to Wobley privately about serious matters. Some overhead pieces of their conversations include:
"The royal family seems to be pretty weak after it shrunk in size."
"Where are all the dragons going? Prismatic had two siblings but they're gone now."
"Ruler seems exhausted and Innocence seems oblivious. What do we do?"
It's unknown if these sentences are spoken out of concern or not. But each one held a heavy tone to it when they were spoken.
Omni had become close friends with Restless and Wobley, yet not very close. They just sort of hang around them, listening, rarely jumping in to talk. It's kind of weird..
We have changed Flights, now making our home in the Earth Flight's domain. Wobley, the next Leader after Ruler, seems mildly distressed. She keeps insisting someone was forgotten back in the Light domain, but Ruler denies that, claiming everyone is here. I admittedly feel like someone is missing too, though.. but I don't know who.
A fire had broken out in the Lab. Some dragons, myself included, had entered the flames to rescuse those held within the blazing cave. I didn't see him, but Brygid and Lyre, two dragons who also went in, claim to have found Gadget. He was hunched in the corner, screaming at everyone, thrashing about violently and practically frothing at the mouth. He attacked Lyre, luckily not damaging her badly, and he nearly got Brygid, yet it seems his goggles were broken and he wasn't able to see. So he missed. After the flames were extenguished, we found Gadget just wandering around the Lair, no longer in his Lab apparel. Apparently Studious had fired him. He had set the fire. He set the Lab on fire and tried to take the lives of all those who were in there and those who entered to save him. He seems to be getting angrier.
Oh. Oh no. He.. he came back. He was the one who was missing. Restless. He entered the new Lair, his wings badly damaged. He was yelling at everyone. Asking if anyone even knew he was gone. Only Wobley said she knew. Everyone else was silent, scared, unsure of what to do. He let out a furious shriek and tackled Ruler, starting a massive battle. He took the Standard that Ruler weilded and used it to beat her. After that, Gadget joined in, helping Restless go against Innocence and Rhythm. It was horrifying. So much power and anger and rage being displayed before every dragon. Both Gadget and Restless have never appeared so.. so.. terrifying. Their yells of fury and anger still haunt the majority of the clan. They took the Leadership. They're the Leaders now. Restless is in control, with Gadget at his side. Everyone is too afraid. Too afraid to do anything about it. Except for.. Studious. She's been trying to talk to Gadget for the past few days, to convince him to step down and stop Restless. There hasn't been any luck so far. Hopefully.. hopefully things improve. They must. Nothing can get worse after what happened.
A new dragon entered the clan. An outsider by the name of Seer. He said nothing. He just sauntered on in and claimed he was now one of us. We all just.. sort of accepted it, assuming that perhaps he was too old to really be right in the head, or that he just really needed a home. But I don't really know about all that.. he's talking to all the worst dragons. I admit I'm worried about him. We don't know anything about Seer and yet we've accepted him into our home. It's nothing but trouble.
There was another fire. It was bigger than the last. Flames towering over everyone, destroying parts of the Lair, and even the surrounding territory. Many were injured, some nearly died. During the fire, there was a figure. Perched atop a high-up rock. It was the size of a normal dragon, yet most swear it was a crow. I could've sworn it was a normal dragon, but I couldn't tell due to the fire.. now every time a dragon spots a crow, it's seen as a bad omen.
Charm was recently arrested under the suspicion that he started the big fire. He doesn't deny it, yet he doesn't admit it either. He's just.. silent. Eerily so. Yet while he was being arrested, he was lashing out, attacking everyone nearby. Xue and Brygid had to step in to stop him and put him in a cell. He's forced to wear a straight jacket and muzzle to prevent him from hurting anyone else... Everyone feels bad for his mother, Springleaf, who had to watch it all happen. I feel bad, too. For her and everyone else who were hurt in some way.
Oh no. Starlight, she.. oh, god. She was found alone outside the Lair, dead. It was a horrifyingly gruesome sight. Only a small portion of the Clan knows about it. Including Restless. He's absolutely heartbroken, one can't help but overhear his wails of mourning. He's grown more distant now, not even leaving his part of the Lair. The one who murdered Starlight openly admitted it. Clockwork. Clockwork's mate has now left him, and his parents refuse to speak to him. Gadget, seeming more upset over Starlight's death than Restless, considering she was his daughter, has demanded that Clockwork remain in Jail for the rest of his life. He seems much angrier and more violent than he was before because of this. Studious feels the same as Gadget, absolutely outraged that someone would even THINK of harming one of her children. The Clan is just falling apart...
There was a war. A big war. Where those who side with Xue battle against those who side with Restless. There was a third, smaller side, a side that just wants the power all to themselves.. there were many injuries. Many near deaths. Xue was one of them. She and Restless were battling in the middle of the mass of hatred and destruction, fighting with such strength and speed that it was almost awe-inspiring. However, Restless had her pinned. She.. she almost died. But a figure appeared, a male Mirror. He held a faint orange and purple outline.. it was Dizzy. Dizzy had appeared out of thin air, his rage practically radiating off of him. He had locked his gaze on Restless. He was hurting his grandmother. Dizzy then LOST it, he let out a battle cry that shook the earth and cracked the Lair's walls and ceiling. He had grabbed Restless, throwing him around the Lair like he weighed nothing. Restless's speed and strength was nothing against Dizzy while he was completely outraged. Dizzy's appearance and battle with Restless meant one thing. This war had to stop. Everyone ceased battling, as Dizzy had badly injured Restless, almost killing him. Yet a very small ounce of mercy was shown, Dizzy spared his life. He announced, however, that this war was over. Xue was to reclaim her place as Leader, at least for a while until an official one was set. Anyone who disagreed with Dizzy was too afraid and intimidated to speak out against it. And so, Xue is now Leader once again. It's still being decided who should take her place..
Tea and Twinkle’s leaderships were short but wonderful. All was wonderful until the newest Leader was overthrown.. by Inspire. At first his leadership was.. decent, but then things got worse. He developed a fight ring where dragons would be against their own friends and family.. in battle. The first round consisted of Lonesome, Ruler, Venture, Alter, and some others, the winner being Ruler. The second round consisted of Charm, Flutter, Fury, and one other, Charm being the winner. Now Charm and Ruler are forced to fight, Ruler to keep her title and Charm to take it. Neither of them want to fight. Looking at Charm, I.. I don’t think he even knows what’s happening. When Ruler tries to reluctantly fight him, he starts crying and asking her why she’s hurting him, it’s.. hard to watch. He can’t even fight back, he’s lost. The clan has begged Inspire to release Charm, as he’s not mentally well and shouldn’t be forced to fight the mate of his niece, yet Inspire refuses. Soon before the two were forced to fight, though, Fury had.. Fury died. His wounds from the fight were too deep. Dragons have overheard Birdsong and Inspire arguing over this. They report that it didn’t even sound like Inspire cared that his son died, and it outraged Birdsong, especially because Inspire refuses to stop the fight. There’s no official statement on it, but.. some suspect Birdsong has left Inspire. I hope so. Inspire deserves it.
It was such a nice day, of course some random crazy guy would ruin it. The clan had gathered out in the territory to relax, some sort of event was set up by the Leaders. Perhaps to bring everyone close together? I'm unsure, but that's not the point. While we were all chatting, some large machine was pulled out over the horizon. It was MASSIVE, a plethora of tangled, wide cables trailing after it as a single dragon pushed it along. It was absolutely insane just looking at it, all the lights, buttons, switches, dangerously exposed wires.. it hadn't even been activated yet, but it already possessed such a horribly intimidating aura. After a few moments of shocked silence, the dragon had climbed atop the machine, allowing us to get a good look at them. It was Twist, who at the time was assumed to be sweet and generous, and I swear to the deities, none of us thought he was anything else. Yet looking into his eyes, I.. I couldn't see any ounce of sympathy or compassion, all I could see was a deep desire for blood to spill. He had begun to flip multiple switches, press several buttons, and mess around with various other parts of the machine, cackling the entire time as it began to power up. His laugh was hollow, harsh.. he was almost screaming, it was so strained and.. and full of pain. Panic began to rise within the rest of us as we realized this most certainly wasn't going to be good. The Leaders had already begun gathering the elderly and hatchlings, rushing them back to the Lair. Studious and Rhythm had stayed however, the heirs and heiresses rushing to get everyone else moving. During all of this, Twist had begun adjusting the aim and power of the machine as a bright stream of light emerged from the end of it, shooting towards the crowd in a burst of energy. The shrill screams of startled dragons filled the air, and all of us had scattered. It had almost hit Xue.
Twist kept raising the power, twisting the machine's aim towards wherever the most dragons were, his laughter growing louder than the screams. I was being rushed along with the rest, Flutter close behind me. I remember gazing back, seeing only two dragons remaining in the open field in which Twist's machine rested. Clockwork, that wretched fiend. He was probably behind all of this... but next to him stood Butterfly, one of Restless' kin. Don't really know too much about him to make judgements, I mean, I don't think ANYone knows anything about him. I didn't even think he was still alive, he never comes out in public.
I couldn't hear too well over my panicking peers, yet I could've sworn I heard Twist shouting something about pride? As well as his father, Clockwork.. Flutter tells me he heard it, and that Twist was shouting at his father, asking whether or not he was proud. No one else heard anything, and none of us know what truly happened, we only have assumptions pieced together by some claims folks have made. Friend signed to us that while she was patching up dragons wounded by the stampeding crowd, she saw a large cable on the machine snap. Xue, who told us she was heading back to Twist to try and fight him herself, said that she also saw a snapped cable, and that Twist was desperately trying to fix it, only to give up and use his own body as an extension for the cable. Hazard said something about witnessing Twist nearly DIE from the power within the cable while he (Hazard) was being chased away from the lair by three Imperial dragon-sized boulders. Personally, I don't believe that happened, but everyone else didn't seem fazed by his claim, so.. maybe that whole 'bad luck' thing is real. Anyway, no one really saw what happened after that. Well, besides that Butterfly and Clockwork were dragging Twist back into the Lair. Both Butterfly and Twist seemed 'shocked' about what happened (heehee.) Neither Butterfly nor Clockwork will explain what happened though, but Butterfly seems excessively attached to Twist after that whole ordeal. Hopefully it won't become problematic.. but it probably will.
