Ghost

Sold his soul to the Shade for the power to become a world-renown cook. He indeed became famous when his masterpiece killed the King, becoming known across the lands. Pretty terrible deal and now his soul was forfeit.

Ghost looked for a way out for a long time. He learned from Helvetica that a vector vampire is created when the soul is bound to the flesh using the blood of a sire as the catalyst. The bonding is caustic to the soul, requiring constant energy in the form of blood in order to prevent total destruction of the spirit. The upside is, once dead, there is nothing left. No soul to be eaten and corrupted by the shade, the only thing left the present. With time running out he convinced the other vampire to make the transformation, Helvetica his sire and dragon that provided some of the charms that help keep his nature in check. No soul on death, no soul to acquire by the shade.

A vector vampire, one of the 'soulless" known for being a plague upon the land, mindless things that stalk the borders and consume the weak and foolish. Dark, hypnotizing eyes, a mouth full of teeth, and a serrated tongue are the mark of an ambush predator. Covered from head to toe to ward from the sun. Silent and cannot create spoken word, communicates in sign language. Can also communicate basic desires telepathically with quite the compulsion behind his formless requests.

An impulsive fool that constantly laments his loss of palet. Much of his histrionics are just a way to pretend even to himself that everything is alright. In reality, his emotional range is quite restricted and his biggest joy are those of bloodshed. He has also endured to keep his hobby of cooking, although some days he feels its less out of joy and more of a stubbornness to prove that he still is a dragon and not just beast. His small size makes it quite easy to acquire enough blood, although it does leave his victims oddly drained of energy. A spooky little lamprey who can make an amazing variety of meals with just blood and serum. Will also cook other things and tries to live vicariously though the happiness of others. Really enjoys the Hunt and will venture into the wild in order to collect the wild game for his dishes. He has to be dragged into it but Ghost actually does know a bit about how to deal with the Shade and has helped an ill-advised fool or 2 from making his same mistakes. He is no longer employed as a cook since his transformation instead finding employment as a game catcher and candlemaker.

Lacks empathy. He enjoys tearing into his catches with feral viciousness, loves how the flesh pulls apart revealing bright red beauty and useful fat. He has made a promise to himself never to cross certain lines, and happily lives a simple life even if a few of his more base desires never get filled. A friendly monster and a surprisingly helpful dragon to have on your side.
