Ruth 1:16-17
"Ruth said, 'Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee:
for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge:
thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried:
the Lord do so to me, and more also, if ought but death part thee and me.'"

Ruth was a woman in the Bible who suffered great loss. Her husband and sons perished. Instead of abandoning her mother-in-law that had always been so good to her, she wanted to stick together.

Ruth’s choices led her straight to the fields owned by a precious man. He ordered his servants to leave behind barley and wheat sheaves of the harvest - not just allow her to get whatever was "left," so that she might provide for herself and Naomi. She was gracious for having found grace in his sight. (It was because of her choice to stay with Naomi rather than return from her own homeland.) Not only this, he ordered that no man might touch or bother her. This coming from a man that knew almost nothing about her.

Because of her loyalty, and refusing to stray from her path and allow her situation to twist her into an angry, bitter woman, she became the great great grandmother to Jesus of Nazareth. Take hope, dear one, God is with you even when it feels like your entire world is falling apart. Everything will be used for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose. Sometimes your life has to fall apart so it can fall together - and cling to this promise, that what the locusts have stolen, He will return tenfold. Those that sow in tears shall reap in joy. Break your chains. You are free to choose your own path.
