History In her early adult life, Yara wanted to see the world, so she traveled from one big city to another. She lived first in Shadow, then in Nature, then in Light. She was living in Sundial Terrace, working for a jeweler, when Brady put up the flyers about needing a shopkeeper. She got the job and happily packed up her things and moved in.

The only other clan export is fish, which goes to market.
Occasionally, during times of higher traffic, Tinc will set up a lemonade stand.

Role in clan: Receiver of incoming goods
Yara helps out whenever the clan brings in bulk goods (as opposed to ordinary packages, which go through the post office). The most common bulk orders are food, glassware for Luin, paper for the scholars, and stone for construction.

Skills and hobbies
Fae can already move objects several times their own weight because of their size, but Yara is unusually strong and muscled for a fae.

She likes to tell stories about the places and dragons she's seen. Some non-fae dislike listening to her talk for extended periods, but those who do listen find themselves drawn in by her descriptions.

She knows a little of the coatl language, though she didn't get very far.

She likes to play games with Brady and Ambren during slow parts of the day.

Personality and quirks
Yara is an anti-elemental activist; she believes that dragons should disregard the views and desires of the deities, and wishes that the deities would stay out of the ongoing affairs of dragons.

She's independent to a fault, and she especially dislikes having to get help from larger dragons. She uses several animals to help her out:
* a greatowl for traveling long distances
* a webwing for sending messages short distances, such as from the inn to the main camp
* a kelpie as a pack animal

Her personal approach to the communication difficulties between fae and other breeds is to be expressive with word choice. This can give others the impression that she's prone to exaggerating. She also uses many terms of endearment, though some dragons have picked up on which ones are sincere and which ones are condescending.

Be careful when asking her for a favor. You never know when she'll decide to call it in.

Clan interactions
Yara gets along reasonably well with all kinds of dragons. She asks them to tell her their stories, and she tends to remember more about the dragons she meets than most would.

During slow times of day, she will play games with Brady and Ambren. They have started a small collection of board games that benefits not only them but the inn's customers in the common room.

Trivia When asked how she lost most of her tail, she says it was a boating accident. Nobody has asked her any more about it. Her magic is very weak in Sunbeam Ruins, but she doesn't seem to mind. She uses magic for small things, like nudging objects closer to herself, rather than for combat. Her favorite food is cricket-flour biscuits with butter.
