aloof - kind - patient

Oh; can't you hear his songs echoing in this city? Don't you see the walls created from his bones? Evidence of his being is everywhere you go, how can you say he's left us when he's right there?

-Has a rare power that has to do with channeling electricity. Unknown if he was born with it, or blessed with it; but it manifested when he was in his late 20s. He tends to hide it, so that he won't be forced to do things he doesn't want to do (for some reason, being forced to become a weapon doesn't appeal to him. Shocking). He keeps two massive batterypacks on his belt to make sure he always has access to electricity.
-While he isn't actually immune to the effects of electricity, he can actively keep it from touching him. This still means he can accidentally shock himself when he's not paying attention though. He still tends to sometimes do it when he gets lost in his thoughts, but has a fairly good grip on it now.
-When emotional, he has a tendency to cause the electronics around him to short out in response to his intense feelings. Because of this, he learned how to keep a clear head and a tight grip on his emotions; though even before this he was already a fairly calm person.
-Has a few dislikes, despite his rather easygoing nature. One of which is when people who don't know what they're even talking about try to tell him how to do his job. At his job, there's a surprising amount of customers who try to do this, but he's good at explaining things to them and if they don't stop he can just tell them to get the hell out of his shop.
-Likes to keep his hair short, since long hair is both annoying to take care of and it tends to get in front of his face while working and caught in things. He's the one who cuts his own hair though, so his hair always looks like someone just hacked a bunch off with a knife. Which is...exactly what happened.
-Had a kid, and the two had a bit of a rocky relationship due to Star's inability to express himself. His son always thought Star didn't care about him, and Star didn't know how to show he cared in a way that Ian would understand. That, and the way he started being overprotective after Star's wife died led to Ian running away and joining the military at 17. They haven't talked in years, something Star laments.
-Ian is currently MIA, presumed dead after a failed mission in the Omidios territory. This is the same war Star's wife died in, so he holds some pretty treasonous thoughts about it.
-One of the few that can be said to be beloved by the wyldfae. He leaves offerings out for them, and sometimes they give him gifts back; though not all their presents are safe for mortals. His family always had a close tie to the wyldfae, which is why they were even willing to show themselves to him in the first place.

Notes about his World:

-Set in the same universe as Dare's story, though not during the same time. He lives in the aftermath of what Dare did, and the general masses are still trying to recover from the sudden departure or death of the gods that's been such a huge influence in their lives for so long. This newfound freedom came with many positive and negative changes.
-The three major factions were all still hostile towards each other. There were too many centuries of heartache and fighting between them all just for it to be forgotten now that they no longer had a god commanding them to fight. Still, most of them were too busy struggling to survive their new reality to really have the energy or resources to continue waging war against the others.
-Aurora's faction suffered the most from the departure of their god, as they'd always leaned entirely on the magic power she'd gifted them. Not only did their troops suffer as the magic began to fade, but their entire way of life had to change, and they had to learn to do everyday things without the seemingly limitless magic Aurora had provided. To this day, they were still unable to fully recover and their economy is in shambles. Still, they're strong enough to keep others out with the many magical artifacts that are still in their possession. They're one wrong move away from a civil war though, and most of the lower to middle class have been rebelling against the High Priestess in small ways.
-Chrono's faction built their new capital on the corpse of their god, perhaps in some way to try and honor him. No one's really sure what went through the minds of the founders, and they're long dead and unable to answer any questions. Still, the cities have become quite seedy over the years, and while the capital might shine on the surface, the underbelly is as dark as they come. Recently, the city's latest craze is technological enhancements on the human body.
Chrono's bones have been used to decorate one of the tallest buildings in the city, and his skull hangs on the lighthouse.
While Chrono's faction seems to be the one that advanced the most and are the most well-off after the disappearance of their god, its mostly because the government hides most of the city's troubles under a veneer of normalcy. The food shortage is getting a little hard to hide now that it's affecting even the upper class though.
-Finally, the last of the three major factions; Omidios'. They seemed to have completely vanished from the face of the earth. There are many speculations that perhaps with the disappearance of their God, they may no longer be immune to the Corruption that they've been using to fight others. None of the factions have been quite brave enough to send an expedition into their territory, and of those who do go into Omidios territory, none have come out so far. No one's quite sure whether that's due to the treacherous landscape, hostile entities, or the aforementioned speculation. Regardless, something's definitely wrong here.
-There's also several small, scattered factions with no allegiances to either side, as well as a wide, seemingly infinite ocean that stretches on for many, many miles. Several remnants of magic still exist as well, in the form of mutations and the wyldfolk. On the planet, there are also at least two confirmed minor gods still roaming, though they're certainly not as strong as the three that left; still some will cling to any form of divinity. A few cults have popped up, and have been making an absolute nuisance of themselves.
-Still, there's hope for this world now that their meddling gods are gone, and people can actually move on and change instead of being stalemated in a neverending, neverchanging war. Either that or they'll fall back onto something comfortable, and continue as they used to without trying to change anything.
