Found as a hatchling in the middle of a seaside cove while a couple of Mossfire members were out fishing, she was brought back to the lair and taken care of for three weeks by the medic until she eventually was welcomed into the Clan of Mossfire as one of the members. She had originally been discovered covered in cuts and bruises, assumed to have been abandoned by her parents as no nest was found nearby.

Maternal-like by nature and adored throughout the clan even now as an adult, Ophiuchus can often be found around the nursing dens or those under the medic's attention delivering gentle words in a singsong tone to help calm them. In these songs she often incorporates the usage of the white magic she had been taught by her mentor. Though she prefers doing these sorts of things, being the mate of the leader comes with its own set of important tasks, as Lantern often leaves her to duties such as gathering up hunting groups.

"Ophi, Ophi, sing me another song please!" is but one of the common phrases Ophiuchus hears while visiting the new hatchling nests. Singing quickly became one of the Wildclaw's signature pastimes, having spent her earliest days in the clan running around the commonplace and making some of the older dragons laugh with her carefree, juvenile songs. As Ophiuchus became older, she grew more aroused by white magic, so much so that she gained an apprenticeship underneath Mossfire's retired songster, Obie.
