Lemm knew from the start he had no interest in the "normal" goal of growing up and finding someone to nest with. The spiral is asexual, but is demi-romantic. He loves his friends and family very much, but has never wanted a sexual mate.

For a long time, that made him feel like an outsider in many places. Too many expected Lemm to change his mind once he "grew up" a little. Almost in resentful rebellion, the spiral started hanging out with little ones more and more - as if to emphasize that if growing up meant being sexual, he never would. But then he realized how much he truly enjoys being around young dragons. As Lemm grew older, he found himself being looked up to and confided in by many of his younger friends.

Which is how he came to be one of the ones in charge of raising those growing dragons who had no "true" parents of their own. When Lemm came to Chaotic Daydreams, he met another spiral whose nature was also best shown by guiding and guarding littles. Lemm fell in love with the vivid dragon almost immediately.

The spiral is completely happy with Halcyon as a loving partner, and the two of them specialize in helping little ones who need a family. From completely normal hatchlings to those broken in some way early in life, they take the little dragons and help them find a place where they are loved and treasured. Occasionally Lemm will even offer up his essence to fertilize eggs for a female friend who likes his coloring or his temperament. The physical act of love is a small, unnecessary thing next to the sheer amount of unconditional love in other forms that pours from his long, twisting body.

Though some of the dragons may only be with them for a short time, Lemm and his partner do their best to improve the lives of the transitory children and send them back out to the world with a lot of love as a shield against the badness they might encounter... and all of their kids know that home is waiting for them should they ever need to come back.
