Frith is the much-needed balance to the fighting trio of himself, Bonereader, and Rhianon. He often has to hold his friends back from jumping into danger, and pull them out when they get in over their heads. Though born in the Ashfall Waste, Frith spent most of his youth in the Scarred Wasteland. His family was not well-off, and sent him to train as a warrior in the hopes that he would have a better life on his own than the one they could provide. The school he enrolled in was free, but students had to compete in rigorous sparring bouts to keep their spots. Frith quickly rose to become one of the top students in his year, alongside a Ridgeback: Rhianon. The two's final match, just before their graduation, ended in a stalemate. Neither party felt slighted, however, and after they graduated they traveled together as a pair of swords-for-hire. It was during this time they met Bonereader, after getting into a bar fight. The three became fast friends after that, and traveled around the south of Sornieth before arriving at Traveler's Rest. The salary the Rest's guard force was offering for skilled fighters was wildly higher than what the trio had been earning as hired swords, so they signed on. They quickly cemented themselves in the guard, frequently traveling out into the wild to protect gathering parties as well as escorting diplomatic parties to neighboring clans. When he's not out on a job, Frith can be found with his friends at the guard's headquarters or at Red's Pub. |
