Biography
Feller, the ouroboros onto man.
"Does it know? We won't know until the very end."
A ring of steal, a moon of glass.
a long journeys end at last.
As we settled on the moon.
Shivers ran through our found boon.
Fearing eviction, we dug in deep.
Only to realize the horror's beneath.
As we dug the shivers stopped.
But with them, our hearts did drop.
For our once pale moon no longer shone.
Our world of glass, now blood and bone.
Supplies running low, early space explorers settled upon a colorful moon surrounded by metal rings. With little else to their name, and no hope of reaching another planet, they began to terraform the moon and it's surface into a spaceport.
The surface was hard and unyielding, prone to small earthquakes, but small pockets alongside it's surface made for fertile planting, and soon, the spaceport took off.
Once space travel had been established, miners were called in to see if they could find the source of the earthquakes. For close to 2,000 years, they had little luck until a fissure appeared along the moons surface allowing for drillers to breach the moons crust at last.
The result was...catastrophic
Humanity had not settled on a moon, we had settled on an egg. And it's parent was still encircling the spaceport: Waiting for the day it's brood would hatch.
And they'd jut killed it.
