Reis

The Lady Reis has a temperament more suited to a follower of the Earthshaker than the Windsinger; she is slow to speak and uses words sparingly, preferring to let her consort speak for her. Though she seems stern and harsh, her love for her clan is a very powerful thing, and its members cannot help but feel safe when sheltering beneath one of her mighty wings.

While the clan was originally well settled on the Zephyr Steppes, Lady Reis uprooted her people and led them across the Scarred Wasteland to Dragonhome. When asked why, she would only say, "There has been a change in the wind, and we must change with it."

Many often wonder how such a cold and unyielding dragon came to be matriarch of a clan that calls itself The Clan of Small Comforts; though Lady Reis herself is distant, she maintains the clan's territory as a welcoming space for any who pass through. If she is willing to use force in order to preserve harmony among her people, well, sometimes that is the price one must pay for peace. (She has rarely, if ever, had to do so, however; most dragons note that she keeps a yeti as a companion and decide it's best to behave.)

Most assume that Beowulf, her consort, is her charge, and she says little to dissuade this assumption. But the further the clan moves into Dragonhome, and the deeper their tunnels delve, the more some wonder if there isn't something she is searching for, still.
