B I O G R A P H Y

______ Midna is the child of a star who reincarnated as a dragon when she died. Her mother, the fallen star, had never tried to hide it from her daughter and had no reservations about telling her about her previous life. This sparked a curiosity in space and the stars in particular ever since she was a hatchling, and she started studying to become an astronomer as soon as she could. When she became an adult, she left her clan in the Spiral Keep for the Starfall Isles with the blessing of her parents. She spent much time studying under the finest astronomers, wanting to learn everything she could. One day, she heard the rumour of a fallen star appearing in the Southern Icefields, and she left in pursuit of the star turned dragon. The star in question happened to be Sirius, and Midna had the fortune of running into him when they were both staying in the same clan for shelter. Midna was overjoyed when she found out, and wanted to know everything about him and life as a star. While initially taken aback, Sirius was more than willing to divulge that information and the two quickly became friends, and eventually fell in love and became mates. One day, Sirius got the feeling that a fellow star had done the same as him, and the two set off together to reunite the two stars. Their travels led them to Frostfall Village, where they found Astra, the star who Sirius had felt die, and Hyperia and Hargreve, two older stars. Sirius didn’t want to leave his newfound friends after that, and Midna agreed to stay as she could work with them to further her career as well.

______ Midna is a curious, idealistic dragon. The tales from her mother has left her in awe of the stars, and also raised her opinion of Sornieth by quite a bit as she realised how colourful the lives of dragons in comparison to stars was. To her, the world of Sornieth is an amazing place that she’s infinitely lucky for being born in, but space was something she’d always wanted to know more about. The fact that it was so different made her want to know more about it, and she took up her profession specifically to learn more about the cosmos. She is incredibly proud of her mother, and views the constellations on her wings as a sign of her star blood, taking great pains to keep the patterns in perfect condition. This pride in her wings also helped her through the judgement from fellow Coatls because of her dull plumage, as her pride in her wings more than overpowered any insecurities she could have. Sirius has helped greatly as well, assuring her that her plumage is beautiful and he would never change it during her rare moments of insecurity. This is only one small piece of proof of Midna and Sirius’ feelings for one another, and they never hesitate to show the other their love in every way possible. Midna is quite good friends with Marianne, the two bonding over their want for knowledge. She also regards the other stars as her in laws, as Sirius has been accepted as the older brother of their makeshift family. She will go to Hyperia and Hargreve without fail when she needs advice and has a sisterly relationship with Ophelia, Astra and Nader. Despite being born in the Spiral Keep, her time in the Starfall Isles and love for the stars has caused her to align herself with the Arcanist.
