Biography

Ana 27th 171 Lu
I am the last of the old ones. Cinca has been and will always be my home, within the forests where I reside. It has been a year minus 2 months since that fateful anger washed over her plains. I knew that she was angry… but her reasons at the time of the destruction was unbeknownst to me. I was outside, walking along the path in the earth, protecting what remains of this forest ever since I have fought against the terrible flames of Cinca, as it eats away our home and our livelihood. I still lay my eyes upon that broken mountain in grief, for it was Cinca herself who have caused this. The Plains itself was no more and I wail. There is no life there, for it still too is a broken ashen wasteland, as I walked along the edges of the wrathened lands.

I was about to set a path back home, until my Pearl hummed an unusual color, the color of grey. Bewildered as I was, but I must search for the Truth that this pearl, that I was born with, lead me to. I casted a levitation spell with a will enhancement on my Pearl so it can follow its “scent” as I follow. Into the ashen wasteland it goes, I must follow for this has been an unusual circumstance, considering that my Pearl has never turned into that color before.

It has been what seemed to be around ten minutes; however, the humming and rhythm of the pearl has increased, as I have walked further and further into this ash. It eventually all came to head when the Pearl suddenly dropped on its own, after exhibiting a rapid frequency followed by a tone of silence. I picked up my pearl and casted Magic Detection within the vicinity. Beneath the spot that the pearl landed on, lies a shimmering amber crystal with a dark draconic figure within. Upon seeing this, I dug and dug away the ashes until I managed to pry this enough crystal out, with my magic, of course. With the Levitation spell I casted, it was as easy as walking, to bring this finding to my peaceful abode.

My work upon this dragon has been quite a frightful challenge, I admit. Ever since I brought him to my den, the crystal encasing him completely collapsed into thin air. His body was littered with fresh wounds upon wounds. I had to act quickly to heal and patch him up. After a month of endless tireless work on his body. Most of the wounds have healed but there are some that are yet to be touched are somehow…resistant. Lacking of this understanding, I covered them with bandages, for now. He is quite an interesting fellow. With my pearl, I used its unknown magic to tap into his past… and it was an unpleasant sight.

Fighting for life as he discards his own to save others… and yet, they left him for dead. And that distasteful blue dragon… I have no words to express my anger until I realized the connection between Cinca and this dragon. This was the reason why that mountain burst. The selfishness of the dragons along with false words must have struck her in the very core, so much that it requires an entire area to be eradicated. I feel sorry for the others but this one, I felt something else. Could this dragon be? That’s impossible. I’ll have to review my notes later, but in the meantime, I will cease my intrusion into his past and continue to care for him.

On this very day, I felt odd. My body feeling slightly heavier than normal. Regardless, I moved on, to brewing a tasty stew of mushroom salads. As I was nearly finished with my food, I overheard loud flapping noises, following by small clattering of bottles, bowls, and other trivial matters being sent to the floor and here I see. This grey dragon was flailing about its concern over his body and I had to interject in order to avoid him hurting himself in the process. It worked. After what seemed like an eternity of conversations with him, even after I have introduced myself to this grey dragon, I have finally connected the dots on the mystery of him.

Cinca must have realized her mistake on him as he was never intended to be the one to face her wrath… so she must have used her ancient magicks to coat him permanently with her essence and encased him inside a crystalline amber to prolong his life. However, this act performed by Cinca herself has left me wondering what his true path is. Until... I knew the answer. My pearl gave me an answer… from Cinca herself. As he dived into his third bowl. Cinca spoke to me through my pearl… that he is one of the true protectors of life. He is a new generation of dragons who has sacrificed so much for so little. With this in mind and after spilling some hard answers to him about his clanmates. I decided to make an ultimate choice… and that means ending my own life so that one may begin.
I pranced around him, and after bringing his snout up to my eye level. I gave him my pearl, one that have always been born throughout generations of my brethren, the pearl of its own power. I now know why my body is heavy… my magic weakens and so have my lifelong duty to Cinca draws near. He shows displeasures but I assured him that it is what I must do now… for him to return to his home and to set in place… a hidden dragon, reborn from the ashes of deceit…into the light of Hope…as the legends had once told….

I am unable to speak due to the hastened end of my own life due to my relinquish of my pearl to him. He carried me to my bed of leaves and did everything he could so I could have at last, a peaceful end to my journey. He looked at me and then his newly gained pearl. He has this glint in his eyes. A glint of hope. I smile to the best of my dying ability and then he leaves, after paying his respects to me by wearing one of my old red mantles with my name on it. I turned by head back and look upwards as I now look to the sky, through the leaves of my dome in my den…I long… forward… to a hopeful future……………
