Memento mori (Latin: "remember that you have to die") is the medieval Latin Christian theory and practice of reflection on mortality, especially as a means of considering the vanity of earthly life and the transient nature of all earthly goods and pursuits.

Memento mori has been an important part of ascetic disciplines as a means of perfecting the character by cultivating detachment and other virtues, and by turning the attention towards the immortality of the soul and the afterlife.

This curse would be traced down his lineage. All Moros' children were destined to die, like any dragon. But they would be given a second chance. It was up to the children if they would accept the bargain.

Wright, Neander’s younger brother. Unlike most of his family, Wright was stillborn. He’s never known the difference between life and death. His first experience was dark consciousness and the face of his companion before a blinding light. Within that blinding light were his parents and what he was told to be life. The vivid colors, the sounds of the water along the coast, the sounds of his siblings, and he silently observed. As he grew with his siblings, it was apparent that something was different. He never spoke and never showed real emotions. He was silent and would wonder around the territory like a ghost; a shell of a Pearlcatcher. This was how his elder brother, Neander found him. Neander gave Wright a chance at some sort of purpose. Working on the Bjørnhjerte with the son of Ragnar; Wright began to work as a shipmate. Despite not understanding or displaying any emotions, Write wondered if the feeling he has is happiness. He was happy and enjoyed being with the crew as well as being close to his brother. He even learned to sign due to his lack of speech.
