Voci

Role: Bard (singer/harpist)

Personality: Voci is distant from other dragons. She has a deep sense of mistrust towards most other dragons, excluding her small band of bards and dancers. It is isn't uncommon to see her lash out at dragons she doesn't trust if they pester her about things she would rather not speak of. Most times she is rather calm and often hums or sings to herself, or even plays her harp in order to keep herself calm and entertained.

Lore: Then he'll be a true love of mine... Voci was born in the Sea of One Thousand Currents. She was the daughter of an Imperial mother and Skydancer father, taking after her father. They were fairly high ranking, and thus not a surprise that she was betrothed away to another dragon. She showed no love for that man, but showed a deep love for music. Her voice was like velvet and all who heard her voice adored, which only made her future mate even more attracted to her. He worked hard to gain her affection and to hear her voice, however she refused to sing or even to speak with him. To prove his love, he told her he would do anything. Finding this as an opportunity to ditch him for good, she asked for 3 days to think of a task he would perform to prove his love for her. On the third day, he took her to a small fair in the Dragonhome called the Scarborough Fair. There were many bards, dancers, merchants and craftsmen. Her mate bought her a harp to fit with her beautiful voice, then asked of what task he would do for her. She took the harp, and sang him a song depicting a long list of tasks he would for for her to prove he was her true love.

Voci's Song

He set off to complete her tasks and left her to the Fair. She promised to wait for him there. It was there at the fair that she met Snapper by the name of Taliesin. He carried a handcrafted drum on his great back. He had heard her voice and asked if he could accompany her in her travels. He could tell she would not stay put in the fair and knew she had no love for the dragon she had sent off to accomplish impossible tasks. He appreciated her humor. Voci was amused that the Snapper knew that the tasks given were impossible and that he seemed to know her true intentions. She allowed him to be her protector and percussionist as they traveled from nest to nest, entertaining those who gave them food and rest. The two traveling bards soon found themselves in the Viridian Labyrinth. There was a large pit used for fires that deemed fit for them to perform and nest near. However, the land was owned by a pair of Guardians that towered over both of the dragons. Though, seeing that they were tired and hungry, the Guardians allowed them to nest and perform. The two decided to stay there. She occasionally makes her way to the Scarborough Fair to perform, but she doubts the dragon she had been promised to will ever show his face again.
