Biography

Serafina
The Painter

Serafina's mother was the first casualty of the
Serthis attack. They knew from spies within
the clan that Vivianna could make antidotes to
their poisons. They thought that by killing her
they'd leave the dragons vulnerable to their
poisoned weapons. They never considered
Vivianna's familar to be a part of the equation.
Guanaco, Vivianna's longneck, found Serafina
and told her what happened. After raising the
alarm Serafina returned to her mother's lab.
She also knew how to mix antidotes. Her work
saved the lives of many dragons that day. She
was attacked herself while delivering medicine
to the injured. Not wanting to stop her lifesaving
work, Serafina neglected her own wounds until
the Serthis had been defeated, and the surviving
clan members were safe.

Once she was done, the pain of her wound and
the shock of loosing her mother hit hard. Serafina
was sick for a long time. Loyal Guanaco stayed by
her side, helping care for her until she was well
enough to care for herself. Coil also helped, but
the spiral's attention span made her an unreliable
caregiver, and the longneck's careful attention
was essential.

Serafina is an energetic young dragon, she is the daughter of Antonin and Vivianna she was one of a nest of three siblings. These three were the first baby spirals hatched in the lair, and the lair was not ready for them. The three hyperactive little snakes got into everything, and were never still a minute. Viviana was too busy with her magical tinkering to watch the babies and Antonin just couldn’t keep up. Arkar managed to convince the male to go serve the glade keeper, she convinced the other two to go visit other lairs. When Static went to visit his home territory during the Thunder Crack Carnival the Serafina and her sister Vesper went with him. Vesper decided to stay, and Serafina came back, but not before the StormCatcher gave her a strange glow, and some work ethic.

Serafina now helps her mother with her magic, and helps mind the younger dragons in the lair, a job that her energy helps with. She gets along well with her foster brother Carbuncle and has taken over raising Coil , a young spiral dragon who followed Static home from the shifting expanse, who he swears is not related to any of them in any way at all.

After recovering from her wounds Serafina took up her mother's position as Wind Ambassador. She also took over her mother's lab, though she is much less reckless than her mother ever was. She still produces medicines for the clan, but she does less experimentation just for the sake of experimentation. Her creativity comes out though her art. She has invented many new types of paint, and her murals now adorn rock faces and slabs of wood thought Arkar's territory.

Her favorite is a mural she did of her parents and their friends when they conquered more territory from Light Flight. She often spends hours sitting in the sun and gazing at it with uncharacteristic stillness for her breed. Serafina is by far the calmest spiral in the lair, a fact many of the other dragons appreciate.

Serafina's eyes have changed color as she has grown more attuned to Wind than Nature. It has been a gradual, but noticeable change in her magic.
