 As one half of second-in-command, Janine is a prominent figure in clan life. She is one of the original band of clan members, picked up by two adventurous youngsters on their travels back to the Windswept Plateau. She was hatched in Dragonhome, in a clan of prospectors trading all manner of gems in all manner of territories. They crossed paths while Janine was staying at the western edge of the Sunbeam Ruins territory, and didn't need much persuading to join the little party of skydancers on their quest to start a new peaceful clan in the Windsinger's domain. She clicked with Crieff instantly, which led to her becoming their mate at around the same time as they became the official leader.

Janine is technically a step down the chain of command, but Crieff holds so much stock in what she says she could probably be the clan leader herself. She is intelligent, quick-witted, and knows how to get out of a corner when she's backed into it. She has a reputation for her witty one-liners and pranks; both are usually fairly terrible taste. That doesn't stop her meaning well and wanting the absolute best for everyone. She has a very good influence over everyone and she loves feeling like she's helping even if it's in little ways. She was practically attached to Crieff at the hip anyway, totally endeared by the odd little dragon, but her little world is complete now that Rory is the third of their triad and she is amused by him and him shenanigans.
