Biography

Leon

"I-I can't just tell him, Yana!" The skydancer wailed, his claws tearing down his face as he gripped his head and rubbed his temples. The mirror rolled her eyes, but patted his back sympathetically, "You're moving next week, anyway. If it goes wrong, you'll be gone from here soon enough. You won't have to worry about being humiliated, or whatever you said." He sighs, and peeks up at her from between his fingers.
"And what if by some miracle, it does work? Then I'll never see him again!" He doubles over and bangs his head against the floor.
"It's worth a try, right?" Yana tries, giving his shoulder a gentle nudge, but he only shakes his head and looks away. It wasn't worth the risk.

---

The rain thudded harshly against the ground. Thunder rumbled and churned above, high in the sky, dark grey clouds illuminated briefly by lightning that scorched the ground.

A shadowed figure was bounding between the trees, slipping occasionally on the ground in their haste to get away. Then they skidded too far, and crashed into a tree. A sob escaped the dragon, and their legs gave out underneath them, causing them to crumple. The cloak they wore ride up a little, revealing wine-coloured scales beneath that glimmered with each flash of lightning.
Leon can't make himself get up again, and he falls onto his side, face pressing into the soaked earth, tears rolling down his cheeks. He couldn't do this anymore. The move was in a week, and each passing day seeing him pained him more.

Several minutes of crying on his side passed, eyes closed as he laid there, but his entire body tensed when a voice spoke up.
"Leon?" The other dragon murmured, and said skydancer scrambled to his feet, spluttering for an excuse as to why he was lying on his side, crying in the rain. Nothing came out, what excuse could there be for that?
"Leon, are you okay? I saw you run off, in a storm like this, in the woods, it's dangerous." Dakota continued, taking another step forward. Leon hiccuped. How could the one dragon he felt dearly for see him like this? His lack of reply only made Dakota approach him, and suddenly the rain on his back was gone. The wildclaw's wing was raised, stretched over him like an umbrella. Leon stared up at it, confused. Dakota was usually so grumpy and uncaring, this was a totally different side.
"You could get hurt, or killed." He continued, and his tail wrapped around Leon's frame, pulling him closer to the larger dragon. He ended up pressed against Dakota's side, and he was glad his scales were a mellow pink, it helped hide the blush that had formed on his muzzle. Dakota paused, and then looked down at Leon again, causing the skydancer to look away, eyes averting to stare at the ground.
"Leon, I.. You know I care about you, right?" Dakota asked, and the smaller dragon nodded slightly, "I know you're leaving in a week, but.. I wanted to tell you this before you left."

"I love you, Leon."
