Biography

"At least the Mother will still have one faithful one to serve Her," the wildclaw said, standing beside Prism and watching as Tahree climbed back into the nest. Tahree had been frightened when her brother had cried out and been snatched away, but the presence of her mother and the queen set her at ease once more.

"Yes," Prism agreed, "she will serve well."

Tahree and her brother were born to be servants of the Plaguebringer, as all of the guardian dragon Prism's children were. Her father could not accept such a fate for his children and attempted to abscond with them both. When he arrived to take them, his presence alarmed both hatchlings. Tahree escaped the nest and fled, hiding while her bother was taken away. Tahree later returned to her familiar nest, oblivious of the fate to serve the Plaguebringer that awaits her when she comes of an age.

tumblr_nui2kzVF831ud96two2_500.png After realizing her fate in the same way her Father had, by witnessing another child be carried away to serve the Plaguebringer against its will, she decided to slip away from the nest she had once ran back to thinking it was safe. Once she was far enough away she relaxed and looked around her. She had been skirting the tangled wood, its darkness calling to the new found fear in her mind. She was still too young to know how to fight and the woods were filled with the sounds of the beastclans.

She continued making her way farther from the plague lands and soon the sky filled with low hanging clouds made of ash. Before her spread the Ashfall waste. The heat choked her even though she was still a ways from the edge of the territory. A rustle from the woods startled her and she slipped down into a smoothed wall pit that separated the two lands.

"Oh no! I'm so sorry for startling you." A Nocturne says stepping to the lip of the pit Tahree had slipped down. Tahree looked up at the old plague dragon with a masked rat sitting on her head. "Who is this dragon? Does she know my mother? How do I escape from her now that she has found me?" were some of the thoughts that speed through her mind. The Nocturne spoke again in a calm tone "would you like some assistance climbing out of this old lava pool? Are your parents or clanmates around?"[/i]

At the last question Tahree felt a glimmer of hope fill her mind. The Nocturne was not someone from her clan come to drag her back! "Yes....please, I would like your help climbing out." She picked herself up from the crouched position she was in and reached a claw up to take the tip of the Nocturne's tail. Once she was out she got a good view of the Nocturne. She seemed to blend in to the area around her without trying, and the rat atop her head drew Tahree's attention more than the Nocturne herself. Even though she was only a few days old Tahree was almost as large as her. The female Nocturne looked at her with a gaze that seemed to pierce her thoughts and she felt compelled to speak "Thank you. I wouldn't have been able to get out as easily without your help. For your second question no, I am alone here..." Her voice trailed off and she looked down at the ground.

"That is what I thought. I have been watching you for a few hours now. If you have nowhere to stay, please, come with me to the waste. The clan I live with there will be more than welcoming. Our matriarch allows dragons from all walks of life to stay as long as they want, and leave when they see fit. We are known as The Clan of the Moon and Sun "

It took half a days time to get back to the Nocturne's clan. On the walk there Tahree had found out that the Nocturne's name was Blud Shadowgaze. Blud told her a bit about the clan and its members. They walked far into the Ashfall waste until they came to a inconspicuous hill covered in fireproof vines. Blud lifted the vines back and motioned her to go in. Under the hill it was much cooler and Tahree took a breath of the cooler air. "It is ice magic from one of our best fighters. She keeps the entrance cooler so that when we come back it is refreshing. You will probably only see her in passing though as she keeps to herself. Her mate though is always visiting with everyone...they are good for each other" Tahree nodded at Blud's words while trying to take in the vastness of the den system that she now found herself in.

With Blud's introduction she was welcomed into the clan. Another Nocturne approached her, this one was smaller but had more presence than Blud. She introduced herself to Tahree as Sha'ri Namefinder. Sha'ri looked at her with a quizzical glance "The name you have is not the one you were meant to bear. If you would like I can tell you your true name. If you want to keep the name you have afterwards then you do not have to tell anyone else what your true name is."

Tahree stared at her in amazement. "A different name?...I would love to be rid of the name I was given by my mother. This name has dark memories attached to it." Sha'ri leaned in and whispered "Your true name is Bael'ha Wolfpool." With that Sha'ri handed her a scroll and glided back toward her room. "Bael'ha Wolfpool is my real name?" She breathed a sigh that caught in her throat.
NAMECHANGE:

After receiving the scroll to change her name Tahree went after Sha'ri. She told the Nocturne her intentions and was given instruction on how to perform the name change. With Sha'ri's help two other witnesses were gathered from the clan and Tahree read the inscription on the scroll. The scroll started to glow a dim red its light engulfing Tahree for a second before it faded away.

"With this scroll I have changed my name." She spoke as loud as she could though to herself her voice sounded small. "I take on my new name Bael'ha Wolfpool and will from now on go by Wolfpool to those outside of our clan." Sha'ri and the two other dragons gathered around her in congratulations. After talking a bit more with Sha'ri a male Ridgeback came up to her and handed her a small device. He spoke in a tired voice This is an electronic map created by my teacher. It has a couple set destinations in it for you to go to then it will help you when you travel through the caves." With that, and without introducing himself, the ridgeback left her to figure it out.

tumblr_nui2kzVF831ud96two2_500.png No longer would she have the shadow of her former clan, if she could call it that, over her. She would embrace her new name and her new home. She wandered through the twisting corridors of the clan following the digital signs toward the room where she would be assigned a place to stay.

She walked into a spacious cave that was expertly dug out. Ledges that looked completely natural, but were obviously carved out, were adorned with a variety of things. Three Gaolers were in the room. The group looked up as she entered. The larger male walked toward her his nails clicking eerily on the stone floor. "Hello, you must be our newest member! I am called Nimos Mountainrage. I apologize that we did not come and greet you when you arrived, but we wanted to start making preparations for where you will be living. Since you are here you can answer some questions for us."

After talking to the three Gaolers about what she would like in her living space, as they called it, she went off to find her next stop. Her map directed her toward another space which seemed to be on the other side of the twisting caverns. She walked into a room filled to the brim with books of all kinds. A female Guardian stood in the middle of the room with a Hipogriff sitting atop a nearby stack of books that wasn't as tall as the others. Comparatively Bael'ha was an ant to this large female.

The female stepped toward her. "Hello young guardian. My name is Val'med Silentflame and I am the one dragons of the clan go to when they are seeking their place within the clan." Bael'ha looked with big eyes at the large guardian who continued to speak. "For the other breeds of dragons this is a simple task. For our kind we must go through The Search. I will help you through your search with my knowledge. We will be going to the coliseum when you are able with the help of one of the fighters. As we go through your training you may find a familiar like I did that completes your search." Val'med looks endearingly at the Hippogriff perched on the books. She turns back to Bael'ha and beckons her forward. Come, and I will teach you about the search and what to look for once you feel the longing.

Bael'ha spent the rest of the day and night learning from Val'med. With the older dragons help she came to understand more about her new clan and what her role may be. She found the prospect of fighting exciting. The beastclans that had frightened her would soon never bother her again. After spending all the time with Val'med she was called away by the female Gaoler.

tumblr_nj9kyb0AiI1r28672o3_640.png
"Good morning Wolfpool" The use of her last name threw her off for a second. The female Gaoler chuckled and motioned for her to follow. Her voice business-like as she addressed Bael'ha. "I hope you were okay for your night without much accommodation. My mate and I worked through the night to make a space that would fulfill your lifelong needs. My name is Asyn Starshadow, if you were wondering, I am Nimos's mate. Now, follow me to your room." The bluntness of the information shocked her into silence as she followed the quick pace of Asyn.

Asyn lead her to her new room. It was a ways away from Val'med, but she didn't mind the walk. Upon entering her new room the vastness made her feel small. A chuckle from behind her made her turn around. A female wildclaw stood by the entrance to her room. Her aura radiated a calm yet intense sense of awareness that only a leader would have. "Welcome, my young Bael'ha, to my clan your new family. The wildclaw stepped up and laid her tail on Bael'ha's neck. "I am Inha Bloodmoon, the matriarch of the Clan of the Moon and Sun, and my mate is Mur'zall Blacksun. He was not able to come today to see that you were adapting fine. But, he welcomes you as well and extends an invitation to the library that he has made and up keeps." She finished and her tail slid away from Bael'ha's neck. The release brought Bael'ha back to reality, for all she could see and hear was Inha when she spoke. Bael'ha finally spoke as she realized Inha was waiting for a response. "Thank you for your hospitality. I promise to help the clan in anyway I can, and I will go and visit your mate and the library after I am settled in here." Inha's eyes glowed with amusement, but she nodded and said her goodbyes to them both.

Bael'ha walked around her new room. Asyn had followed Inha out leaving her in the massive space alone. The crushing sense of loneliness filled the space and she let out a small whimper. Her new family was strange and seemed to like being separated. In that moment she was filled with a sense of dread and anxiety. Alone, sitting in a large empty cavern ready to be decorated, and shivering from the stress she had been through. She fell into a fitful sleep her dreams filled with dark visions of what could have been.

She awoke the next day to a familiar scent. For a split second she thought she was back in her home nest. But, the smooth stone floor reminded her she was not. The familiar scent remained though. She opened her eyes to the sight of her nest brother. Her mind went into overdrive trying to think of how he ended up here of all places. The last she had seen him her Father was taking him away from their Mother.
