Born in the Mires to parents who opposed the clan's cruel ways, Infection was sent away to the Plaguewood as revenge for his parents' percieved weakness.

Once known as Jiro before his sickness took hold, Infection is a solitary creature by nature, only befriended by the most tenacious of dragons. A child of muck and Plaguemire, for many years Infection moved cheerfully through the Plaguewood, so close in location and feel to the land of his birth. A rogueish character, he is eternally cheerful even as he is eternally hungering and bloodmongering; as a warrior he is fierce, easily driven to frenzy. In the company of his friends he indulges in quite an un-warriorlike taste for finer goods, luxury foods and silks which he proudly displays on his ragged scales.
