Lineage

Biography

NYMUE
The orphaned mother
Aevitas' mate

Also known as: Mam (by affectionate dragons raised by her)

Violet Flower Crown
Golden Bantam Fangar
Stone Fertility Statue
Reflective Fish Scales
Also parentless, Nymue only barely survived in the barren spreads of the Emberglow Hearth, most of the time returning empty-handed after her attempts to scavenge in the lifeless are. After several harsh years only barely scraping together enough food to survive, she encountered Aevitas after he had managed to hunt down a leopard gecko. Irritated at being watched while eating, he roughly told her to find someone else to annoy. When she refused to go away, he noticed that her attention was more on his meal than him, and offered to leave some for her in his desperation for her to leave him alone. Unable to stomach meat, she refused again, although grateful at his offer. As he began to show increasing signs of frustration at her unwavering presence, she offered to make a balm from ground minerals to place on his wounds and scars to help heal them better if he would help her find some plants to eat. Despite not being interested in her side of the deal, he gave in upon seeing how hungry she was.

Afterwards, she pleaded to continue travelling with him, and he reluctantly agreed, reminded of his own previous rejections. Although initially she only wanted to journey together for protection, his roughness and blunt honesty grew on her and they grew closer. With her constant support, Aevitas eventually started a clan, which he settled in an abandoned old lair. He later gave her a flower crown that he had clumsily made that night to commemorate the event, and she has never been seen without it since.

She is usually very merry, although she had gone through a more subdued phase with the mother's loss of her children moving on to serve the Flamecaller. Nowadays, she cheerfully looks after the very few hatchlings within their clan and if she isn't with them, she can often be found while scavenging for rare treats that all the others enjoy.

Looking back, childhood and motherhood is a gift that no one fully appreciates. I consider myself to be fortunate to have gone through both.
