Starshadow is one of the fiercest combatants among the Moonlit Thicket, but nowadays, she only hunts. Most often, she leads teams of other hunters to secure food for the rest of the Clan, but she has been known to wander off on her own and hunt snakes for fun. As she is named, she prefers to hunt in the dark of night, where she can hide in wait. She strikes hard and fast, as dragons of her heritage are known for.

She first entered the Thicket almost a year after she and her platonic life partner, Leafdapple, were exiled from their birth home in the Shifting Expanse. They wandered for some time before settling here. Rumor says that they were accused of a severe crime, but neither will say anything on the matter. Though both are quite intimidating in their own right, Starshadow is certainly the more dangerous of the two. In spite of this fact, she has attracted the attention of plenty of suitors. The only one she respects, however, is a scholar by the name of Gladiolus; they are not quite romantic, but they are good friends, trading barbs and stories.
