....INDEPENDENT · AGGRESSIVE · CONFIDENT · HARDWORKING · RESPECTFUL Esmeray is not one to be messed with. Between her large size, impressive fighting skills, and aggressive attitude-- not to mention the alliances built by mutual respect-- this obsidian Ridgeback has always been greatly powerful. As clearly showcased by her eyes, Esmeray came from a shadow clan. But due to her being parted from her birth lair so early, she can hardly even remember the faces of her parents. Raven and Galen found her in Wispwillow Grove as a hatchling, but she was far from pitiful. At the time, they hadn't been looking for new recruits (let alone hatchlings), but something about Esmeray caught their eye. Or, rather, ear, since it was her deep and surprisingly mature voice that sealed the deal. "You'll regret not picking me up now," the young one had said. And so, wanting to avoid this threatened regret, they brought her home. Just as they had found her, Esmeray grew up confidently, showing no sign of being the "helpless, lost baby" that one would expect. In addition, she always knew without a shadow of a doubt what she would grow up to be: a warrior. Esmeray formed a semi-permanent team with Raven and Ignatius. Even though Raven was the clan's leader at the time, Esmeray took charge and has continued to do so in every battle since. And even though Esmeray is in no way touchy-feely, she paired up with her other co-fighter. She and Ignatius have been silently bonded for years. They've gone on to have a few hatchlings, including their son Itzal. They are usually seen studying together whenever they aren't fighting together, for Esmeray claims that a strong mind is just as important as a strong body. |

IGNATIUS .☆. MATE Esmeray isn't the most emotional dragon, and neither is Ignatius. As if that weren't enough to make them a perfect pair, they're both warriors with the same aspirations. Esmeray, though she hates to admit it, doesn't really mind his company, especially when they're reading together. |

ITZAL .☆. SON To put it simply, Esmeray is quite proud of her son. He's a respected and talented clan guard, after all, so she must have done something right while raising him. She doesn't like to express her admiration for him, but at least it's there. |
