Biography

Kindhearted and genuine
Born a Snapper
Grew up obsessed with fire and Coatls
Worked fervently for years to afford a breed change
Eventually got desperate enough that he stole money to afford it
Felt really guilty about it but tried to move on with his life
Moved to Fire and changed his name, then became a celebrity(unintentionally)
Eventually he couldn't handle both the guilt and the fame, and left to find a place where no one knew him
His Flamescale Spearman is a former bodyguard that refused to leave him

Bio is WIP

The Spiral bent over her hatchling, her long body coiled into a nest around him. The little Snapper gazed at the book spread before them with curiosity as his mother softly read each page. 'Dragons Around You' went into great detail about Sornieth and the deities who ruled it, but also gave some insight to the dragons that lived under them. Perfect for introducing youth to the world they belonged to.

The hatchling stuck his tongue out with an expression of disgust as she described the lush greenery of Nature's territory, but his age prevented the act from having meaning-it was just what the other children did.

As his mother turned the page to the next Flight element the Snapper's eyes widened in wonder. The bright red-orange-gold images were all bordered with thick black lines, making them stand out from the page. Swirling flames decorated everything, even licking at the text that told of their nature. One side was completely covered with art of the Flamecaller, but the child's attention was drawn to the dragons that danced with the inferno beneath her.

The other page had a larger, clearer image of one of the dragons. Graceful features were surrounded by a ring of plumage, more flames framing the whole image. It was...amazing. The Snapper had never seen anything like these dragons, so whole-looking and pure compared to the rot and ruin around him. His mother began reading the passage describing them.

"The race of dragons native to the Fire region are Coatl: small, serpentine dragons with downy feathers spreading up from the chest into crests on either side of the head. They are common blacksmiths, but are also known for their unique language they use by humming. Because of this there are many songs written in Coatl that are passed down through generations."

The Snapper stopped listening as he thought this over in wonder. He imagined the feathered dragons surrounded by flames, searing away any impurities with their element as they hummed mysterious notes to their god. They were so cool...he wanted to be like that! He thought of himself in a lithe body, covered in plumes and fire as he sang melodies in a tongue only a few dragons knew of. He looked down at himself almost expecting to see a puffing of down across his chest, but only saw his own wide, clumsy paws.

His mother turned the page, oblivious to his disappointment as the fiery landscape was replaced by the familiar filth of their own home. Pride crept into her voice as she began to tell him about the Plaguebringer and their own customs but he didn't pay any attention. His head was filled with humming and fire, there was no room for anything else.

When the Spiral tucked him and his siblings into their nest that night she whispered to them that the Plaguebringer would protect them as they slept, and the Snapper was confused by that. Why couldn't other gods look over them too? Wouldn't it be better to have more than one watching them?...Was it bad that he wanted them to? He thought about that as he fell asleep, and as he began to dream his mind filled with smoke and embers rising around him.
