Technically, Anubis isn't even part of the Soncha Kapa clan. When other Gaolers ventured out of their frozen lands, Anubis stayed put. He's of the Overseer Order, tasked with guarding the most vicious and horrific Horrorbeasts. Anubis has taken his task seriously from the very beginning, and even the prospect of exploring the rest of the world will not deter him from it. He's a powerful and intimidating dragon, perfectly suited for his order.

The only dragon from the Soncha Kapa clan who deigns to visit Anubis is Mistletoe, and only once a year during the winter holidays. The cheerful Tundra feels a kinship with his ancient brethren, leaving a basket of goodies and gifts for Anubis from Soncha Kapa. The Gaoler says little, but as Mistletoe is leaving, he always swears he can see Anubis smiling.
