I'M A SUNFLOWER
FgmuwQw.gif

It is said that Sunflowers hatched from the orphaned eggs of light dragons who sought escape from the darkness of the Hewn City. The fertile soils of the Everbloom Gardens in the Viridian Labyrinth swallowed the eggs, incubating them until they were ready to hatch. Once they hatched, the sunflowers actively sought out the sun, tilting their wings during the day to follow it. This habit slowed down once they reached full maturity. Few stayed in the Labyrinth, and a majority migrated back to the Sunbeam Ruins. But many were called toward Dragonhome, despite the lack of fertile soil. The reasons for this are still unknown. As they went further north-west, their laced scales molted, and their wings withered. Sunflowers who stayed too long in Dragonhome became one with the soil in Cairnstone Rest, and after centuries, their bodies became fossilized. Brought back to life by the magic in the soil of Dragonhome, their laced scales still molt, while their once withered wings turned to gemstones shine like the sun they constantly seek out. No matter how far away they get from the Sunbeam Ruins, Sunflowers always face their first home in the east.
Sunflowers symbolize adoration, loyalty and longevity.
They have a fond bond with the east. Their dens face east, and while sleeping or resting, they tend to face east.
