Scout is the clan's closest thing to a priestess in her work as a messenger for the Arcanist and the Lightweaver. She is an outgoing, energetic dragon who functions as the clan's envoy between other clans. Vivacious and optimistic, she spends quite a bit of time outside of the lair, running errands and carrying messages for members of the Observatory. No matter who she meets, she is exceedingly kind and is always excited to learn new things. In her spare time, she collects shiny trinkets and books, teases her clanmates, and enjoys reading stories to the hatchlings. Scout loves making new friends, and she's a bit of an adrenaline junky (causing no end of worry to the others in her clan). When she and the researchers put their heads together, the others start to get concerned -- the last prank she had a hand in accidentally resulted in weeks of careful research erupting into spontaneous flames! She, along with Sunchaser, has become one of Moonshadow's most trusted friends. Together, they three solve quarrels and make decisions regarding the clan and their clanmates. The other members of the clan have secretly begun referring to them as the Three Sisters, a name sourced both from their closeness and for the stars that make up Orion's Belt. As she is the one who brought both Mockingbird and Morrigaine into the clan in their infancy, the two regard each other as sisters and Scout as their mother, and will fight viciously to defend her. When she goes on longer, usually dangerous trips for the Arcanist or the Lightweaver, one or both of her daughters will secretly accompany her at a distance. Just as she had begun to develop feelings for Sunny that were more than friendly, the clan moved to the Sunbeam Ruins and disrupted any chance she had at confessing. Shortly thereafter, Sunchaser fell into the odd, endless sleep that first claimed Moonshadow and several others from the clan. Now, StarScout searches tirelessly for answers to her sisters' sickness and though she remains cheerful and open-hearted, the light in her eyes has begun to dim. |
