Biography

The holder of the Deity's journals. Find the origional thred here, and the background of these jurnal entries here.

(Zephara) From the Flamecaller's journal:

Week 1
There have been rumors circulating for weeks. Superstitious fools make preposterous claims of a coming apocalypse. Catastrophe looms. They say. The end of Sornieth is nearing. The Prophetess was right. Foolishness of that ilk. I do not buy any of that, though I cannot deny something odd is afoot. The Great Furnace has been acting up lately, it almost seems as if the great volcanoes are... fading. I do not understand.
Enemies are closing in. The battles for dominance that rage across the land are particularly fierce this week. I can tell my children are wearing thin.
We have lost. But my flight is resilient; I am sure we will make a come back in the next quest for dominance.
What is going on? All around me the fires are dying. The everlasting embers of my realm are fading— the volcanoes— my flight what is hap—
The Fire has been extinguished.

(week 1 by Skystalker, week 2 by xxvi) From the Earthshaker's journal:

Week 1
No one belives the stupidness of the words that the deitys would die, and that this was the last dom battle. Stupidness! Thus, all of us sat around, not worried much. Then the week ended, a lo and behold, the Flamecaller was killed.

Week 2
Though we were previously one of the strongest flights, our numbers are weakened. Consuming the enemy with earth and scattering them with quakes can only do so much, especially when our warriors are in the way. It did not take long for the other flights to defeat us. Perhaps it was always meant to end this way, mirroring the beginning...

(sinlence) From the Earthshaker's journal:

Week 1
I was among the first to hear the calls. The song of pain and terror, drifting through the reeds. It all comes over the plateau eventually. Our dragons are restless- they hear it too. "The Flamecaller." They whisper. "The Flamecaller has fallen." It is dark and cold at night, with no fire to guide us. The warmth is quickly fading. Some have already forgotten. But they are fools- I know we cannot afford to forget, for if we stand apart, we will be crushed like flies, one by one. Water will rule the realm.

Week 2
I have sent messages to every surviving deity. None have answered. We are terrified, terrified we will be next. The Tidelord is coming closer and closer to our home. The Earthshaker has fallen. We were rivals, you know. Many a dragon here would have loved to fly forever, free of the weight that holds us down. But now it just feels empty. We cannot stand to the might of the water alone. I call out over Windstar bay, hoping the Arcanist will hear my pleas. Surely with his endless wisdom he knows he will be crushed? He is a coward. He will let me die to save his own skin, if only for a fleeting moment.

Week 3
The Tidelord and I were always good friends. Although we clashed in the beginning, wind and water go together like nothing else. But today is different- today the wind is dry. I throw all my power into it, trying to stop the tidal wave that crashes down on Sorienth. Dragons are creatures of flight and sky, and without me they will perish. No- I am too weak. The wind grows wetter and heavier, blanketing me. The eyes of the realm are turned on me, slowly drowning.
I call out, but there is no answer.
The wind has stopped.
There is nothing but water.
(Zephara) From the Lightweaver's journal:

Week 1
The Flamecaller is gone. She fought with all the fire she could muster, but was unable to hold out. It pains me to know that this catastrophe was cause by my beloved firstborn. They were beautiful creatures but now they are the heralds of the end. Because of them, Sornieth is changing; it will never be the same again.

Week 2
The Earthshaker was always the most kindhearted among the deities. I am glad he was spared the agony of watching every one of his siblings perish. It was the Tidelord and his forces who finished him off. I fear that since Tidelord’s return, he is more powerful and terrible than ever before. I must prepare my children for the inevitable battle.

Week 3
Poor Windsinger. He and his dragons were always so free spirited. They didn’t stand a chance against the forces of deities like the Plaguebringer and the Icewarden.

Week 4
I can see the armies approaching. Three of my brethren have already fallen. Will we be next? I knew the Shadowbinder would not be able to resist a chance at snuffing out the light. But she is not what worries me. The tsunami is approaching from the west, and though my children have always defended this land with vigor. I fear it will not be enough. It seems the previously mellow Tidelord has been possessed with the madness of combat; he will not stop until he had conquered us, or until he is no more. My dragons are ready for battle. I can only hope that we can survive.
No. I am not strong enough. I can feel my power slipping away. All around me is chaos. I can see the Shadowbinder leering at me in triumph. She knows my end is nearing.
It is not, however, the Shadowbinder that breaks me. It is the Tidelord. He is watching me. Impassive. It was meant to be. He rumbles. You cannot change fate.
I am fading. I cast my eyes to the sun as my last breath slips away.
The Light has been forgotten

(ApolloHalfMoon) From the Arcanist's journal:

Week 1
No one knew what was coming, not even us all-seeing deities foresaw it, we should have listened to the Prophetess, but now it is too late, the war has begun, we should have been wiser, we should have just shared the land, but one by one the deities will fall, i see it in the stars, until there is one left, and they shall rule all, Many dragons believe it is a joke, i do not. Our forces are many but will they rise over the possibly greater numbers of water and plague?

Week 2
We have succeeded in lasting the first week of war, ‘twas fire who who fell first, The mods left a message: “the fire has been extinguished” i feel they are mocking us, as much as we are saddened by this loss, we are grateful that we were not in their place, the war rages even stronger than before, doubtful dragons are now realizing that they could be next and are joining in the effort, the remaining ten flights have redoubled their effort, they will be very hard indeed to beet. That is, if we survive to see another week....

Week 3
We fought valiantly with many losses, but we made it through to see the light of a new week, we were very sad to see one of oldest deities, the Earthshaker go, but I believe he can finally rest after his many years of service to land, we need more dragons, we are falling behind, only just keeping in front of light and wind, my poor people are forced to say goodbye to their most treasured dragons, but i do think it is for the best, arcane MUST pull through to the end, if we don’t.... i wonder what eternal darkness is like.

Week 4
Our army prevails! We have lasted another week, our luck holds strong, windsiger’s luck, has finally run dry, the tornado has stopped, my followers are desperately breeding and exalting, only keeping the dragons they prize beyond all others, if we do win, i think I’ll reward them for their efforts by gifting them their exalted dragon back. the wind dragons have been blown away on a strong gust, i do hope that arcane endures.

Week 5
Arcane is still going strong, we are falling tremendously behind, Though we are still holding a place in front of nature, we almost lost to light, but in the last hours, we managed to snatch victory, the light flight, was not so lucky and they fell to the darkness, the light has been forgotten. My followers are still finding new dragons to exalt, things are looking up for the arcane flight.

Week 6
Nature has fallen, they couldn’t keep up, and it eventually got to them, and ultimately brought them down, there are only six deities left now, the competition is fiercer than ever, arcane is now in last, my poor followers have exalted their entire lairs in a final weak attempt to boost our numbers, but we are still fifty dragons fewer than shadow, I look through my telescope now, for what i hope not to be the last time, and wonder... is it enough?

Week 7
Our efforts have failed us, the arcane flight has met their match, we fell to the superior numbers of the shadow, whoever wins, i hope they take good care of my ........... i look into ............... And ask myself .............. of flight rising? I wonder who will win, it’ll probably be ............ at least I can ........... and hope for the best ............ goodbye........ *static*
“The knowledge has been lost”

(Skystalker) From the Plaguebringer's journal:

Week 1
Today is the end of the first week of the final dom battle, as many call it. Of course, many did not belive what the Staff had said, that a losing diety would be killed on sight. Well, I didn't resieve much increase in exalted dragons at all, but, of course, we pulled out victorious; I would never let myself fall to last place. Poor Flamecaller, however, was in last, and Fire was extinguished.

Week 2
The end of the second week. People are starting to panic, buying and exalting dragons as fast as they could. We almost lost, but a final push surved to shove us up the rankes. Once again, Plague has pulled victorious. My friend the Earthshaker, however, lost the battle. The Pillar has fallen.

Week 3
Last day of the third week. Nothing much to say. Plague, of course, as once again proved to be victorious. The poor Windsinger was in last, though. The tornado has stopped.

Week 4
Continuation of the frantic buying and selling of exalt fodder. Breeders are getting rich from the dragons they are selling. If things continue like this, the auction house might be out of dragons soon. It is just chaos. We have won again, but sadly, as we win, another will fall. The Lightweaver has lost the battle, and Light forgotten.

Week 5
Nature was in the lead for most of the battle, but a final shove by many of the remaining flights pushed them back to last. My own flight proved victorious again, my underlings including some of the fastest and most experiensed of exalters. Sadly, though, one must always fall, and the growth has been exterminated.

Week 6
Things are still very caotic in Sornieth. All that remains are us, the Plague, the Arcanist, Shadowbinder, Icewarden, Stormcatcher, and the Tidelord. Sadly enough, though, our number dwindles week by week, this time the Arcanist loosing the battle. The knowledge has been lost.

Week 7
The auction house is almost empty, with the prices of dragons making them almost impossible to buy anymore. Only the most expensive remain. This week the battle was hard, with no flight remaining in last place for more than a few hours at a time. Sadly, though, the flight that was caught in last place was Shadow, and the Shadowbinder was killed, the Shadows banished.

Week 8
Now only me, the Stormcatcher, Icewarden and Tidelord remains. The Stormcatcher seems to be winning, they are in first, but towards the end, and with a final push from my flight and the others, Storm is pushed to the end, and killed. The Thunder has been chained.

Week 9
It was pretty bleak now, with only three flights remaining. The Icewarden's underlings must have gotten tired, because they lost the battle. The Ice has melted. I could see my inevatable fate coming, the last battle between me and the Tidelord. I can only hope that I will win.

Week 10
We almost won! We where so close... But the water, the Tidelord, is fated to take over us all, to cover Sornieth with water, to turn solid to liquid. I have no regrets, I lived a happy life. I only wish thay I had won the battle, so my dear underlings could have been safe. Now the land wont even be land anymore. I'm sorry, my underlings, the Infection had been purged. Goodbye.
