Fulgurite

There's an easy way and a hard way to learn electrical safety. Fulgurite picked the hard way, and it's still not clear she's learned her lesson.

Fulgurite is a Spire-trained engineer with more enthusiasm than caution, and she's had projects blow up in her face more times than she can count. She has a tendency to disappear into her work for days at a time, barely eating or sleeping until the project is done. She left the Shifting Expanse after a disagreement with her boss (which may have ended with Fulgurite deliberately sabotaging the project, being fired, and forcibly expelled from the region).

Recently, she's partnered with Apophenia to build a 'thinking machine' - a primitive mechanical computer. Apophenia hopes it will one day be able to predict the future; Fulgurite just hopes it will one day stop exploding. Apophenia is the designer and the project is her idea, but Fulgurite is the engineer who actually takes her crazy ideas and makes them work. Her partner routinely demands the impossible, and Fulgurite loves her satisfaction when she delivers it.
