Biography

g1zwzH4.png
Uh-oh, looks like this highly energetic explorer wandered a little too far from his home lair, and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the urge to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him home (TheSpookyAustro, 425122) instead or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.

I've always had a love for exploration and the unknown, and even though the clan had just moved to the beautiful Mirrorlight Promenade, I've already explored every part of it. So I asked Stonecloud, one of the clan leaders, to let me go out and explore beyond the Sunbeam Ruins...

LK99kLx.png

I found myself in the borderlands between the Tangled Wood and Scarred Wasteland, some of the most dangerous territory known to dragonkind... and I was chased by a couple of Gaolers and a terrifying Guardian.

I was rescued by Crow Callers, who welcomed me to their lodge, and I learned that the Guardian who'd chased me was a part of Deer's Death. And unfortunately, I've learned that Deer's Death sometimes tries to invade. Even though Crow Callers is a nice clan, I'm not sure I can handle living so close to a pack of mostly unhinged murderers.

It was a relief to return home for a time and recover, but soon I was growing restless again; I'd seen very little on my previous venture...

LK99kLx.png

My next stop was deep in the Tangled Wood, where I found a clan full of dragons from every flight. Their leader, Nightshade, let me stay in their lair for travelers. Something about him bothers me, but I can't put a claw on it. But the rest of the clan seems nice enough; they call themselves the Darkwood Clan.

A curious Gaoler named Amethyst visited me and asked a lot of questions about my travels, and especially if I'd seen her sister. I hadn't. Despite her disappointment, she was happy to answer my questions about the Tangled Wood, but she gave me a warning: something was off about Nightshade, and I should be careful. Having my own feelings confirmed, I decided to leave before I got in the way of a clan war or something even worse.

LK99kLx.png

I happened upon a clan in the Sea of a Thousand Currents: Clan Rose of Rainbow Waters. For the first time I think I've found a clan that isn't dangerous. I mean, there are some oddballs in the clan, like the Leviathan brothers, Vodyan and Ezos, but no one seems to want to harm me, which is a nice change. The area is pretty safe too; they have a large number of Night Warriors that keep sea predators away, and a pretty intimidating gate guardian named Izar to keep out other predators.

It was nice to have some time to just relax. And I met this beautiful Pearlcatcher, Hecate. Before I knew it, we had a full clutch on the way, and we had four beautiful hatchlings - two boys and two girls. I enjoyed doting on them, but once they grew, they left the lair to go on their own adventures. And so my time was at an end: I parted from my sweetheart. Maybe one day we will see each other again, though I doubt it. But I will treasure my time with her and our children.

LK99kLx.png

I found my way to a rest hub, which, while satisfactory, was not all that interesting. I missed Hecate and her comfort. I even missed the danger of the unknown.

Maybe I should've been careful what I wished for; when I checked into the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, I was accosted by an imperious Pearlcatcher who wanted to know why I did not deign to speak to her. And stumbling over my explanation that I had no idea who she was certainly didn't help my cause.

I was rescued from receiving what I'm sure would've been a scalding harangue by her son, who chivvied me out beyond the Lanternhouse's Meadow to a beautiful pond. Only in the quiet of the pond's sheltering trees would he explain what he thought had happened: Aysu had mistaken me for her son, Ilmari. I had no idea what to say to that, and Indra's tone of voice and body language gave me no clues to his own feelings on the matter of his brother. But he let me hide out by the pond that he managed with his mate (apparently they'd created it with no little amount of magical expenditure).

Despite the pond's serenity, I couldn't settle down, and after a few restless days I decided it was best to move on. I was sneaking out of the clan when I met Audra.

Honestly, I have no idea how she convinced me to have a fling instead of leaving; maybe I'm more attracted to danger than I thought... but once the hatchlings were grown, I told her I really did need to be on my way.

LK99kLx.png

The heat lingered in the air, with only a barren landscape of bones and gore to walk towards. It was a struggle with each pawstep...

I woke up confused, terrified, and tied up. A group of dragons stood before me, asking a series of questions... feeling helpless I answered most of them. But most of these questions I knew little to nothing about. And... they weren't the best at keeping me there, the first moment I got I bolted out of the enclosure.

The whole experience left me with a strange hunger for adventure... who knows, maybe I'll return?

LK99kLx.png

Several seasons have passed since I fled my would-be captors. The clan I found refuge in was not all that far, and despite its proximity I felt safe here. My stay became a sojourn and my hosts became friends. One dragoness by the name of Quintet and I were drawn to each other almost immediately. Our purple and blue hues largely matched, and before long we were raising two sons, Tetsui and Pearlie. Living here has been idyllic; it would have been easy to stay longer but my time here has come to an end. A few days past I received a message from my home clan. With a fond farewell to my friends, Quintet and our sons, I pointed my nose towards home and started on my return. Perhaps, one day, I shall see them again. Perhaps my sons will follow my footsteps . . .

LK99kLx.png

As it turns out, the clan had called me back, as they were worried about me. I got a rather big surprise when one of my sons, Arrow ran up to greet me. I had always expected for my kids to either be exalted to the deities, or to be in other clans, but never did I expect to see my own son living in the same clan as me. Arrow had went off on his own looking for me when he was younger, and the clan took him in. It occured to me that the clan had changed a lot since I had left. For one, some clanmates seemed to be missing? Were they exalted to the Lightweaver? I had no clue. I decided to explore some of the new territory we had gotten, including some dark forested area. That was a big mistake. A few dragons had stepped out of the forest, and I could tell they were evil beings. The biggest one, a green wildclaw with a hood on his head and icy chains on his wings growled. He motioned towards the other 2, which lunged at me, and I quickly ran off before they could catch me. My home wasnt as safe as it once was, and I decided I should get back out on the road, as far away from my once safe home. Before I left, my son walked up to me and asked if he could travel with me. I decided he could come along, but only to the next lair. We were meant to leave tomorrow, but then later on I found out he had been taken off to some strange place while I was asleep. Worried that I would be next, I hastily went back out onto the road, hoping that somewhere not here was safer.
