To say that Whittaker was a bit confused was an understatement. How had he, a brightly coloured tundra, made his way through the Ashfall Waste to now fruitlessly wander the Shifting Expanse hoping to find some sweet relief from the forsaken heat? As the large tundra crawled into a cave to hide out from the heat of midday he vowed that wherever he ended up he would find a way to rid himself of his ridiculous coat.

He had to get out of this land. Not only was the heat still getting to him, but the static charge in the air was beginning to make his fur stand on end. Not to mention the small static shocks he got every time he took a step anywhere. Not only that but with no energy to fight back, his state and flamboyant colouring were making him all the more noticeable to not-so-friendly faces.

As the battered and exhausted Tundra hauled himself across the border to the Sunbeam Ruins he found relief in the exhausted sleep his body subjected him to. When next he awoke he was nowhere near where he had last been, and he was no longer alone. A young Guardian fussed nearby, not noticing her new charge had awakened. Whittaker knew she would be his key to surviving, as his wounds and aches had almost all disappeared. Now that he was healed and had found a new companion he just had to focus on finding a way to change himself, for both of their sakes.
