"What made you join,Sir?"

Me? ah yes, i grew up in DesertFlame. Since i was born i did not fit in, i was bulky and bigger then my comrades. I , after a while, decided to withdraws from social life. using my freetime to walk around and explore the nearby area. this was basically my first time actually thinking about what i was doing. In a forest, not too close to the camp, of course, i would sit and think and simply appreciate my surroundings.

when i grew older, i did not have as much time to think, i put my head down and did my dues. its was the same, everyday, for months. On a day, same as the others, i was upset. upset at myself and upset at the world, and i put all that emotion into m-my work.
D-Desert fire was a evil place, waging warfare on nearby villages for their land and enslaving the stronger ones.. I was so stupid... Yawn

On our way back to the camp the general of our squadron came to me, he was a stern man, and he only said what was important. he said something simple to me, "Meet my by the leaders cave in a hour" and he left. Needless to say, i was nervous, did i do something wrong? Many people had went to the leaders cave and never came back. At the end of the hour i had calmed myself down, and made my way towards the large rock that had marked his cave. The general explained himself , "You caught my eye because you are very powerful. I have told the leader about you, do not disappoint."
He led me into the leaders cave, where i was questioned, mostly about my family and how i grew, wishing to meet my parents and question them too.

A long while after being promoted i decided to retire and join the 7 elders the leader had on his Covent, making it 8. I thought to myself, that if im here on his top 8, id be able to convince himself to stop taking over the desert and plains that surround us. slowly, over a year, i tried my best to give good advice mixed in with my morals. you know, not destroying villages.
I noticed though, he would take my advice and change them to fit his situation, basically doing the opposite of what i intended.

So i decided to take a different approach, instead of trying to convert him, i decided to just get as much information as i could, becoming his right hand man. Eventually i got a satisfactory amount of information that i could use against him. Before i left though, i tried to change his mind one last time, which became a large argument and blowout. I had already packed my stuff before and decided to go in the morning.

you can ask Gaius about what happened between then and now.
I had spoken to Skai before this so there were no surprises in the process.
