Biography

Carat Scroll

This scroll is dedicated to the rich history and symbolism of the statue of Carat, in which was cast as a guardian and savior to the lands below.

Long before the distinction of dragon-kind, lived only mutants, hybrids if you dare. Creatures that looked of similiar to a modern day dragon 'mutt'. Armed with an assortment of feathers, muzzles, and claws, none look alike the other.

In these environments, it didn't take long for one being to be jealous of another's appearance, and carve it from their body to claim themselves. They dismembered and mutilated unrecognized, allies, and brood alike. A civil war in a world-wide nation. A purge with no government.

The gods stared upon this with great brunt and uncertainty, and beckoned together the Great Council of the North, or 'The Stars'. They oathed to redeemed the streaked lands, and began crafting an organic being of a new dragon. This first being was known as The Sorter, or Carat.

They forced it a bottle of maturity, and threw the hatchling from the heavens. Almost as like hail, it grew into an adult as it fell, descending onto the grass like an angel, freshly born.

It's only task was to fix the devastated lands below, and that it did, looking over these mutants for their unique features, and seperating them into 15 species. (Bogsneak, Coatl, Fae, etc.) All looked normal, except for one race, the mirrors, named this way for how they looked like Carat.

Once this deed was complete, the new dragon raced thrived. Forming council's of their own, new lairs, and even traded between eachother, extinguishing the former violence.

But these new powers no longer appreciated this 'god' of sorts, especially the ice council, wanting all the strength to themselves. So they sat out to find The Sorter, forcing him atop a temple in the centre of the nation. Atlast, the ice president found himself satisfied as he froze the body of the once great dragon, Carat.

To this day he stands there, watching still over his world. And the people still honor him. Naming carats of gold in his name, despite the word of the leaders, and creating this scroll, held in the claw of Carat himself. Not to be read until history is forgotten, and be redeemed.
