This is not a place for the honorable. Good people don't end up here. Nothing here is worth dying for. The aureoles of the streetlights suddenly fade into the velvety darkness. A bridge at the end of nowhere stretches into the untouched winter night on the other side of the river. The cold plunges through your coat, into the marrow of your bones, as the snowflakes drown the ground in the impenetrable white. Soon you'll be drowned too. A silhouette in black surfaces from the night. A man in a worn-out coat steps onto the bridge and offers you a cigarette. And, although the air is frigid as a blade of a knife, his ungloved palms are scorching hot. He doesn't look you in the eyes when he whispers, in a voice as sweet and sticky as honey: Are you ready to take the fall for me? As he touches your hands, the warmth pools underneath your gloves. |

I N F O
☾ Vasily Volkov is a former traveling con man and an aspiring politician (there's an overlap somewhere in there). ☾ He spent his youth on the roads, chasing and stealing dreams. His journeys left him with a myriad of stories, as well as echoing loneliness. ☾ On the tail end of his roaring twenties, Vasily found himself captivated by the urge to settle down. The struggling town of Monterosa seemed like an easy target. ☾ He grew up in a tribe occupying the harsh, cold expanses of the Southern Isles. He left his family in his teens on his own terms, although several acquaintances claim he was exiled. ☾ Currently, he works as minister Babakaj's personal aide, secretly trying to claw his way up into the government. Skilled and shifty, with a sharp, silver tongue, Vasily is a tremendous help, although relying on him too much isn't recommended. ☾ He has many hobbies but grows bored of them incredibly quickly. His only long-term love is poetry. Sometimes he's prone to spontaneous free-verse recitals. ☾ His favorite dish is goulash.
