"Ahhh, these youngings, Freyja, they don't know decency anymore," Ruby said, watching the foam of her beer bubble as she talked. "Think they can just ask a lady for her age- how rude!"

"That's indeed quite rude of them," Freyja agreed. "What made them ask? You look good for your age, Ruby."

"Aw gee, tryin' to butter me up, sweetheart?" Ruby laughed, before shaking her head and sighing. "Man, I didn't live to be this old for barely-out-of-hatchlinghood kiddos to try 'n one-up me. Thinkin they can hunt better just 'cuz they're younger. Idiots, right idiots, all of 'em."

"I suppose you didn't just let it slide," Freyja hummed while cleaning a glass.

"Hah! 'Course not!" Ruby let out a cackle, swinging her fists and causing her pet iguana, Flare, to hiss as he tried to regain his balance. "I gave 'em the good ol' what-for! Nobody can beat my iceburn arrows!"

"Of course you did," Freyja nodded. "Taught them a lesson, did you?"

"Hah! They'll be licking their wounded pride for days!" Ruby slammed her drink back. "Serves 'em darn right."

Tossing some coins on the counter, Ruby got up, fishing some greens out of her pocket and feeding them to Flare.

"Well, be seein' ya around, Freyja. Duty calls."

"Until soon," Freyja said, and continued washing glasses as Ruby sauntered out of The Hearty Hunter.

B I O G R A P H Y

A hunter by trade. Though old, Ruby is absolutely one-of-a-kind when it comes to hunting with bow and arrow, unmatched by anyone in how much game she can kill in a single hunt with both her bowmanship and great natural reflexes. Infusing her arrows with both fire and ice magic, it quickly and effeciently kills most animals. She can even fish using these, able to feed both meat-eaters and seafood-eaters.

While born in the Southern icefield, her parents travelled to the Ashfall waste when she was young. There, she learned most of the techniques she knows today, as well as meeting her lifelong animal companion, Flare the Igneous Iguana.

Ruby has a bit of a sassy, grumpy attitude, but is helpful when asked. When one gets through the rough exterior, one will find a caring lady on the inside.

Though she has made her own home in the Purring Winds, more often than not she can be found hanging out in the Hearty Hunter, a tavern ran by Freyja.
