Ever since he was a hatchling, Verpest was fascinated by the draconic form.
The multitude of breeds that dragons could come in; the variability of the forms they could take. But, the most intriguing of all, was the malleability of those forms. How easy it was for dragon to change from one color to another, one gene to another, one breed to another. All with just a muttered incantation recited from a hastily inscribed scroll. It boggled the mind, especially the impressionable one housed in the head of a young Plague fae...

Banned from three Flights, and a criminal suspect in multiple mutilation incidents across Sornieth, Verpest has now taken refuge in one of the few lairs that didn't immediately turn him away on sight.
But he is no fool. Verpest knows that it would take only the merest slip to turn the whole of the Bromeliad against him.
