Drifting Lady
A classy lady, Ostro is just here for a visit. She probably won't stay very long, she's tired of cleaning blood out of her clothes and off her items, but she finds this place a bit refreshing. Because she's not originally from this lair, and also because she's not naturally or emotionally from the Plague flight, she has not been chased out of the library. Dewius doesn't mind her slightly distracted, airy personality because she doesn't track blood all over his area, and she prefers the library because there is less blood present to destroy her clothes. It's a win-win, even if Dewius is still not very pleasant to her and barks at her if she tries to touch his books. To make up for Dewius allowing her to stay in the library, she has begun working for him, helping to dust the shelves--carefully and only under his supervision--and sweep the loamy dirt floors. She's even gotten the hang of polishing some of the bones that make up the walls, achieving a nice, even shine that Dewius has scowled at approvingly. One of her favorite pastimes is watching the librarian and one of his other frequent guests, Sinew, interacting on a regular basis. Sinew's enthusiasm in any and all topics allows him to talk endlessly about everything, leaving little room for anyone else to interrupt, unless he has asked a question. For some reason, Dewius seems unable to yell at Sinew for touching any of the books in the library, despite how sometimes he tenses painfully at the careless way Sinew might gesture with one of the precious manuscripts. Ostro sometimes has polite debates with Rostrum, Sinew's student and one of the few other dragons allowed within the library's white walls, about whether or not the cranky, particular Wildclaw has a soft spot for Sinew.
