Finedel

Finedel zipped up his bag, double checked that he had all his supplies, and mentally prepared himself. He was about to go on the journey of a lifetime. Who knows what he'll find? Buried treasure? Undiscovered isles? Lost magic? The whole world awaits him!

September 14th, 2019
So far all he'd found were glowing mushrooms and purple eyes that stared at his bright colors, but that didn't stop him from trying to make friends. He found a clan of assorted dragons who welcomed him in, even offered him to stay.

Days went by, and he saw different types of magic - healing, acidic, even one that was unknown - and it was interesting.

He felt welcomed, and wanted to make this his forever home, but his heart and wild spirit wanted to travel. So he said his farewells, but before he spread his wings, they gave him a gift, a Simple Gold Necklace, so that he could remember them.

March 23rd, 2020
He travelled on, quite some distance away from the shadow-y realm, and his supplies dropped noticeably. On top of that, he was miserably cold. Luckily, he found a clan more than willing to take him in. They invited him to warm himself by the fire and soon his spirits lifted and he started making friends. In fact, Atanvi spent the whole night with him, sharing stories, cracking jokes, and chatting until the sun came up. She was so nice! And her mate too!

He enjoyed his stay, but soon it was time to move on. He collected some crystal-like gems to remember his time in this clan and off he went.

January 3rd, 2021
Somehow, he found himself drawn back to the shadow realm. While exploring a stretch of woods far away from any other semblance of civilisation, he stumbled upon a little three-house village. There only seemed to be a couple of dragons living there, barely enough to make a clan. Nevertheless, he walked up to the largest house and knocked politely on the door. A kind-looking Skydancer answered, and she explained that they were a group of dragons that had sworn off using magic for various reasons. She invited him to stay as long as he liked.

He ended up staying with a Veilspun who seemed... alright. Apparently he'd tried to rob the place, then stayed because... well, he wouldn't tell Finedel why. After a short while with the group, Finedel began to feel restless; he missed magic and traveling. He said his goodbyes and set off back into the world, ready for a new adventure.

March 14th, 2021
Finedel landed on a small tropical island just off shore of the Reedcleft Ascent in the Sea of a Thousand Currents, where he found a cave. Inside the cave were running rapids which seemed to flow down to the sea floor. Taking a giant clam shell as a raft, Finedel rode down the rapids, which ended in a pool inside a giant air bubble on the sea floor. Inside the bubble was a city, home to a clan known as Alligator Clan.

He was challenged at the entrance; apparently, they were trying to keep out a plague. But they scanned him and announced that he was healthy.

During his stay in Alligator Clan, Finedel enrolled in their University of Flight. After his second semester, he decided that college life was not for him. He decided it was time to move on.

January 19, 2022
Finedel had been tired. He'd visited so many places, so by the time he'd landed in Gladekeeper territory, he'd been ready to rest. The Wylde Weyr, though full of hunters and ferocious protectors, was a natural and grounded weyr. They took him in and let him stay in one of their best guest homes. It'd been carved out of a big, old oak tree. Fascinating!

It was here that he stayed for quite a long time, learning from them, listening to stories, stargazing. But finally, when winter came around, he was rejuvenated and ready to move on. Look out world! he's BACK.

April 5th 2022
Finedel stayed in Underhel for months. He became friends with Spooky, Goosebumps, Alec and many more dragons. He learned a lot more about the different types of magic during his time here. He'd enjoyed his stay, but the urge to travel again caused him to pack his bags once more.

April 24th, 2022
Findel came to the Sunbeam Lanternhouse, where he got to experience a variety of different events - he got to witness performances from the dance troupe and try his claw at different crafts in the artists' commune; he got to explore the Meadow. When he tired of such things, he swapped stories with his fellow travelers.

After a thoroughly satisfactory stay, he decided there was much more to see and bade his hosts a heartfelt farewell.
