Bartender
Known throughout the clan for his talent in mixing drinks, his enthralling personality, and his beautiful looks, Methe is perhaps the perfect bartender. He runs the bar of The Arcanist's Arms, an inn he runs with his mate, Vesta, and their two children. Seemingly never unhappy or downcast, he has an optimistic personality and his relaxed nature helps balance out his mate's busybody personality quite well.Methe was not always this way. Growing up in the Scarred Wasteland will make any dragon a little jaded, especially when you have no clan. Hatching with no parents, Methe survived on his own for years before being accepted into a clan ruled by a somewhat shady tyrant leader as a courtesan. From the dragons of this clan he learned to put on a charming smile, dress beautifully, and most importantly he learned how to make irresistible drinks. He met Vesta this way, she became somewhat infatuated with him after getting a taste for the cookies & cream cocktails he made so effortlessly. She offered him a place at the inn she was planning on founding and he accepted immediately. Methe is now happier than he's ever been, he finds the dragons of the Focal Company amusingly petty and the various travellers who visit the inn are always good for a few stories. He gets along well with both his children, who seem to prefer his calming nature more than their mother's bossiness. The only strife he seems to have is the constant arguments he has with the clan's vintner, Antony, who Methe claims to overprice his wine by quite a lot (though the price never seems to stop Methe from buying the wine in bulk from Antony anyway). |
