Death prefers to greet each soul he does meet
In a gentle way, as if they were simply chatting away the day
He takes their hands in his own, even when the bells let out a somber tone
He gives them a big wide smile, and asks them to walk with him a while
He leads them from life to death and watches as they take that final, fateful breath
He is not an enemy, but a friend, one that wishes to be there in the end
Life does leave you, but Death does stay, so be sure to greet him in a friendly way
